George H.W. Bush got it right in 1981 when he called Reagan's policies of cutting taxation and regulation "Voodoo Economics." Unfortunately, that is about the only thing he got right so far as the US economy was concerned.

Canadian media reported a lot of expired visa Canadians returned back to Canada, so I don't know what to say about your assertion

There are 750 Canadian 'Dreamers' facing possible deportation from U.S. after Trump decision

750? That leaves only another 99,000 or so.

Actually we don't know a thing! When did these 660,000 arrive? Sometime before the Syrian crisis I'm guessing? Anyway I'm sure crime and drugs has gotten exponentially worse during the past 10 year or so and at some point during that time the 'straw' was added that 'broke the camel's back'. The Shit has to be cleaned up and from what I can tell Trump is making some kind of attempt at doing just that. (What I'm unsure about it whether he's going about it in the right way) Some tweaking is likely needed!

Make No Mistake, Trump Is Test-Running Fascism To See What He Can Get Away With

Election meddling, dehumanizing of a chosen outgroup, and a functioning propaganda machine are all in place.
“Babies in cages were no ‘mistake’ by Trump,” argues Fintan O’Toole in the Irish Times, “but test-marketing for barbarism.”

Is it possible that President Donald Trump is throwing out policy and rhetoric to test the waters? To determine just how much leash Americans will grant him?
O’Toole says we’d be foolish to think otherwise, and if we’re not careful, the leash could be altogether gone before we know it.

Fascism doesn’t arise suddenly in an existing democracy. It is not easy to get people to give up their ideas of freedom and civility. You have to do trial runs that, if they are done well, serve two purposes. They get people used to something they may initially recoil from; and they allow you to refine and calibrate. This is what is happening now and we would be fools not to see it.

The signs are clear: Election meddling, dehumanizing of a chosen outgroup, and a functioning propaganda machine are all in place.

Rigged elections, O’Toole writes, are a key component of fascism. And not once but thrice the world recently has witnessed the attempted fixing of elections results – in the election of Trump, the success of Brexit, and though less successfully, in France.

What else would one expect, Walter? He's cleaning up their criminal element. I doubt if you'll see the same soaring among Canadians. He already has cheers from North Dakotans for his tough measures on our behalf. Don't get me wrong, I like Trump and understand him, but I like Canadians better and don't believe what he is doing to us will enhance his country's condition in the long run. Maybe it's time we started looking for other trading partners. I'm guessing I'll get a red from you which spells out succinctly where your loyalties lie.

Perhaps you'd do well to quit your sniping, Walter. I have total respect for those who disagree, but not with their total lack of courtesy when they (conveniently for them) neglect to state the reason of their objection. It's really just a form of cowardice. You're a Canadian (I think) interacting with other Canadians and your loyalties should be with them.
