Ya think? Harpy's only slightly to the right of center. And as I pointed out, it was Turdeau's party that dumped the bulk of healthcare onto the provinces after decades of neglecting it, cut back senior's programs from hell to breaky, enabled student debt to skyrocket, etc. just so it could balance the budget for a couple years.
Where the center is now maybe, but the whole political spectrum has been pulled to the right so the NDP now occupy what used to be the middle as can be seen in how they're no longer claiming to represent socialist policies.
Harper is about as radical a leader as we've had in years, his constant attacks on the foundations of our political system bring up questions about whether or not we even have a democratic system. One of the first steps Justin Trudeau has taken is to make commitments to rebuilding much of the damage that's been done, whether or not he'll succeed is going to be determined by a lot of factors.
We know for a fact based on his actions that Harper is anti-democratic, why even place him in the same category as Justin Trudeau? Harper is the end of a democratic Canada if he and his ideology continue much longer, Trudeau represents a possible rebirth of a democratic Canada if he comes through on his commitments.
