You should look at your link. Nowhere in there does it say Energy East would not be profitable. It just is a waste of money to fight Ontario and Quebec when the US$ is closer and willing to buy even if the price is somewhat discounted.

My own personal conspiracy theory leaves me thinking that the price of oil is going to drop significantly.

It was only 3 or 4 months ago that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia locked up all the billionaires in the country and demanded funds from them because the country needed money.

And just a few days ago, Saudi Arabia is on a buying spree for billions and billions worth of weapons.

I am thinking that Saudi Arabia will agree to keep the price of oil low in order to further damage the Russian economy and in return, Saudi Arabia will get all the weapons it wants for free.

And the Canadian economy will pay the price.
