You'll get over it

Me getting over your rage, confusion and angst?

Ya see, this is the root of your underlying problem here... You aren't willing or able to accept that it's actually your actions and mindset that need to change.

Expecting the world to conform to your unrealistic expectations is entirely dysfunctional, and that is at the heart of your problem(s).

And this post of yours is supposed to be an example of intelligence and critical thinking?

Sadly, that post was an example of the best of what he has to offer

I've been trying to get that message across to the imbecile for years. You're wasting your time. He's incorrigible!

WOW, this article is soooo true - Canadians being bribed with their own money. What else is new and how else to encourage re-election?

But there are those who don't seem to care where the money comes from as long as they are the recipients - even a paltry GST cheque of $25 every 3 months is an expectation - don't get it - raise hell!! They're "entitled" so it damn well better be there. I'm in a unique profession to see some really maddening stuff going on and it's extremely frustrating to see.

Point is, doesn't take much to make people clamor for the goods that more than likely they didn't earn (pardon the pun) but the entitlement is definitely there. Any government who, in the future, that tries to take any of these "benefits" away will feel the wrath of the population who, by then, rely on them (as the article so clearly states). That's what this government is doing - the "kind" government vs the "mean" government who would prefer to keep money in the pockets of individuals to begin with. Such is the state of our lives.

So what's the alternative?

If you don't have a useful skill with consistent demand, I see four possible alternatives:

1. Welfare dependency.

2. Crime.

3. Sporadic employment with periods of disruption, homelessness, and hunger.

4. Starvation.

Anybody got a #5? Forced labor, maybe? Make-work government "jobs?"

#5 Canadian Government offers free retaining under EI.. brought in by Trudeau

And what does one eat, and where does one live, whilst one retrains? I know, EI, but that's what our perpetual whiners want to do away with. They want a fantasy world that never existed where everybody worked and had "dignity."

The government pays you EI during retraining

EI = Employment Insurance

...a glorified Welfare.

#6 - Individuals take the initiative to acquire a marketable skill and progress

That exists under the existing EI system up here.

PS - Boomer, Financial support to EI applicants while engaged in retraining and (some) educational programs has been around for decades... Tater tot did not develop and institute this policy

Trudeau has put more Canadians to work than any prime minister in history.
