And a good many of them still do. When she refused the post of Indian Affairs, he had it within his rights as PM to demote her right then as any PM would do or has done. That's politics, JLM and those who try to buck the rules do not often fair well. One of his many mistakes was to leave her in cabinet and caucus as long as he did.

I have to disagree . Party solidarity or not , being part of or condoning criminal activity should never be passed off as the norm .
If Trudeau et al thought that Wilson-Raybould would have accepted the posting to Indian Affairs, they wouldn't have offered it to her in the first place in my opinion. I believe the foreknowledge that she wouldn't/couldn't accept the post was the motivating factor in even considering that offer as ammo in gaslighting her reputation. I would venture to guess that the Justinites knew Wilson-Raybould would refuse that posting before barely winning the last election.

I would venture to speculate that had one of Trudeau's advisors even skimmed through a Wiki on JW-R even when High could have predicted (assuming they didn't know already) that she wouldn't/couldn't accept that post if she had any ethics at all, which was the issue behind involving her in the cabinet shuffle in the first place.

Me as well. When you have an expert on board to do a job- you leave the job strictly up to him, it's an entirely different "ballgame" than the guy you hire to shine your shoes. Some people are hired so experts aren't bogged down with the mundane duties, while professionals are hired because they have abilities above and beyond what the boss is capable of. Justin had absolutely no business interfering and pestering her. Now she's emerged the winner while he's the loser.
