Trudeau has already buried us in debt! His supporters knew he was going to do it and just didn't care as long as he smiled at them and promised them 'sunny ways'
Well those 'sunny ways' that were going to benefit us from the massive debt have benefited other regions of the world but they haven't done a darned thing for Canadians.
I don't know what planet Trudeau lives on but it sure isn't this one! His ideas seem to be coming from the clouds a pot-head lives in.
What's even scarier than three more years of Liberal mess-ups is the number of Canadians who actually have their heads in the clouds too. Or maybe in a darker place? Where the sun don't shine?

It's not at all surprising. The man doesn't have an inkling about the correlation between work, money and assets!

What is important is not the level of debt, but the ratio of debt to GDP, and the cost of debt servicing. Under Pierre Trudeau that ratio rose to about 29%. Under Brian Mulroney it rose to 64%. Under Jean Chretien and Paul Martin it declined to 36%. And under Stephen Harper it rose to 91%. Frankly, blaming the current government for a mess created by Harper's refusal to reduce spending while at the same time cutting taxes seems to be something of a mystery to me. However, as I mentioned debt servicing is also a factor and at current interest rates even the current level of debt is not of major concern. That could change if the economy does not improve, or interest rates rise, or if the government decides to create even larger deficits, but we will just have to wait and see.

And now, budging his way to the front of the line to get the first sip of that cherry flavored Liberal Kool-Aid.

..leading up to and during the early part of at the 2015 election campaign, Trudeau repeatedly pledged a Liberal government would run balanced budgets and hypocritically blasted the Harper Conservatives for running deficits, even though the Liberals demanded them in the wake of the 2008 global recession.

Then, in mid-campaign, Trudeau reversed himself, calling for “modest” deficits of
$9.9 billion in 2016-17,
$9.5 billion in 2017-18,
$5.7 billion in 2018-19,
with a $1 billion surplus in 2019-20, the final year of his election mandate.

Morneau’s fall economic statement exposes those numbers as a fabrication.

With the economy booming, according to Morneau, Trudeau now has a 2016-17 deficit of $17.8 billion, 80% higher than the $9.9 billion he projected during the 2015 election.

For the 2017-18 fiscal year, Trudeau now projects a $19.9 billion deficit, 109% higher than the $9.5 billion he predicted in 2015.

For the 2018-19 fiscal year, Trudeau now projects an $18.6 billion deficit, 226% higher than the $5.7 billion he predicted in 2015.

For the 2019-20 fiscal year, the final year of his election mandate, Trudeau now projects a $17.3 billion deficit, astronomically higher than the $1 billion surplus he predicted in 2015.

Morneau’s economic statement also predicts that in the first three years of the next Liberal government — should Trudeau win in 2019 — his deficits will be
$16.8 billion in 2020-21,
$13.9 billion in 2021-22 and
$12.5 billion in 2022-23.

Listen sunny boy...budgets don't f***ing balance themselves. This guy is totally off his nut. His Finance Minister is an unethical, lying, entitled cheat facing serious ethics controversy. Both of them are completely out of touch with reality, it's like they actually believe they were given a mandate to rack up unprecedented, unsustainable, and insurmountable debt. Neither one of them has one ounce of respect for the people they are supposed to be working for, their contempt for the fiscal well-being of this country is appalling. At what point do Canadians wake up and realize that this lunatic is going to completely decimate this country's economy??

His first deficit is less than the average deficit Harper ran.

The only thing unprecedented about it is how small it is.

His first deficit is less than the average deficit Harper ran.

A skewed average which was the result of spending increases in 2008-09 intended to counteract the effects of a massive global recession, which the opposition parties demanded!

In contrast, the Liberals spending peak is coming at a time of relative prosperity and peace. Also, Trudeau's first deficit according to his campaign platform was supposed to be his largest in his 5 year mandate, not his smallest. That plan has obviously gone completely out the window... a lie.

If you want to compare average deficits, Trudeau's average deficit is obviously and undoubtedly going to be the largest in history by the time he leaves office.

Conservative prime ministers pile up the debt.

That is the experience we have had in Canada, although we don't often have conservatives in charge when they get there they spend money.

Japan's population is in decline. Difficult to grow with their demographics. #MJGA

At one time real estate was so expensive in Japan that the value of Tokyo was more than all of California. Then it burst.

Some are speculating that’s going to happen here in Canada when the boomers go
