It shows he doesn't have a plan.

sure... go with that! Cause it sure fits within the Harper Conservative wheelhouse, where they absolutely refuse to meet with Premiers as a group. Imagine, the nerve of all those Premiers... so upset with Harper's refusals to meet. Imagine a Prime Minister willing to accept input from Premiers toward shaping plans/legislation. Imagine that - what a foreign concept to Harper Conservatives and their supporters.

Have no idea what the conservative supporters concepts are. What I do know is that Justin has alienated a lot of the older liberal base. He is still showing me that he really doesn't have a clue, therefore, I still won't be voting for the liberals in the up coming election. Something I haven't done since Justins father was PM.

This will definitely help homelessness, the Senate, drugs and crime, native issues and the economy. More money in everyone's pocket with a carbon tax, eh?

How is it going to discourage consumption? Would 2% on GST not do the same or does the label of "carbon tax" give it special chemical altering powers?

Other than keep the oil expansion going. Is a carbon tax to replace the $100bbl deal the last Libs made with the OPEC devil? "the AP Gateway" isn't finished and needs funding.

Does anyone not know that Alberta has a carbon tax as well? OMG - we're probably the first province to have one. The government taxes the oil companies for every barrel produced.

Yet another reason not to vote for Mr. Fluffy.

Ever hear of Stephane Dion? Where is he?

Oh, and he actually had a functioning intellect.

Forced taxes for something we already pay a GST/PST "consumption tax" on? Why?

It's a Fonzie scheme.

You make a good point. However I don't see how environmentally enlightened GST/PST would allofasudden become a popular smash hit with taxpayers because it's hated. How do you attach biodegradable balloons and spayed kittens to that?

Keep everything the same and roll out a new acronym:

Gaia Sustainability Tax
