Amir Arvahi Azar, 32, has been charged by Toronto Police with 29 criminal counts, including “advocating genocide,” a charge that police noted was “rarely laid in Canada.”
Despite this – and despite allegedly being caught with three loaded handguns and being accused of an eight-month antisemitic crime spree – he’s been released on bail.

Well, from what I saw hours ago this morning, they weren’t talking about deportation or diplomatic immunity. Maybe we’ll trade him with Alabama in a spy exchange & some trade concessions or something…but that’s not mentioned either.

Liberals gotta Lib. During a campaign stop in Montreal Friday, a reporter asked Liberal Leader Mark Carney, in French, why Loyola was shown the door over his Hamas comments while Carney refused to boot former candidate Paul Chiang over some of his past comments.
“With respect to Mr. Chiang, he’s resigned. That was the correct decision. And Mr. Loyola is no longer a candidate,” Carney said.
Loyola had been in the middle of his third term as an NDP member of Alberta’s provincial legislature when he resigned his seat to recycle (because that’s good for the environment) as a Liberal just last week…so that fits. Was he ever a Green Party member?
