You supported making 2.3 million people homless, what did you think would happen?

When haven't we been stuck with cleaning up Israel's messes?
It has never been an Israeli mess. The problems since, well, like forever have been caused by radical muslims.

Interesting timing. The liberals just dropped this one last week with Parliament prorogued, etc…:
The report endorses the idea of “anti-Palestinian racism,” an activist term with such a broad definition that it technically deems any criticism of Palestinians or “their narratives” to be racist.

Even the few Liberals who would be against this, don’t get a voice, let alone the rest of the proportional democracy provided by the house of commons in the form of parliament. Go Team Liberals!!!
In a March 4 statement criticizing the new federal report, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) said that the term is so vague that “denouncing Hamas – the terrorists behind the October 7 massacre – could be portrayed as an act of racism.”

Among the examples of anti-Palestinian racism cited by the Arab Canadian Lawyers Association is the case of Javier Davila, a Toronto District School Board equity advisor who was investigated after using an internal mailing list to circulate a guide that used a Palestinian terrorist group as a source. Specifically, Davila’s guide cited materials published the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a Canadian listed terror entity.

The Canadian Guide to Understanding and Combatting Islamophobia is written by Amira Elghawaby, the Trudeau government’s Special Representative on Combatting Islamophobia.
Elghawaby’s new report was published at the same time that the Government of Canada is also funding an “anti-Palestinian racism” film festival. The newly founded Film Project on Anti-Palestinian Racism, which is currently seeking submissions, cites the Government of Canada as its main funder.

Well, at least this time we know what Amira Elghawaby would say about this ‘cuz she wrote it.

I’m upset by the waves of Trudeau parting gifts while parliament is prorogued & Trudeau knows he’s not gonna be answerable for anything He does the last couple weeks.

Blah blah blah. And the Rohingya were all just a bunch of poor, oppressed muslims too, right? And yet Trudeau hasn't issued any special decrees to deal with the string of church fires since 2021 because ya know, setting churches on fire is "understandable". But it's not the least bit fucking conceivable to him why people might strongly dislike muslims, of any stripe.
I dunno dude, cheering in the streets in support of the Oct 7 attacks is now verboten to criticize. We are NOT allowed to criticize the mass murder of civilians nor the celebrations among Palestinians (and others) that followed. Because in Trudeau's fucked up world, that would be "racist".

Yeah baby, aren't you all excited about getting primed for the introduction of thought crimes legislation next? Aren't you just so thrilled having a govt that's willing to take on the burden of thinking for so they can tell you what you can and can't even criticize?
I know my belly button puckers in and out in excitement at just the mere thought of it.

Ever since I first came on this site I've heard about "verboten" and "ya just can't" and all that. Yet I pretty much never hear of somebody suffering a loss of life, liberty, or property for doing this or that forbidden thing. Supporting the honkies is about the only time I can think of where there were actual consequences for doing the "verboten."

Well that's absolute bullshit but considering the source of the comment...

No, what's racist (or at least bigotry) is claiming it's bad that people of one race (or in this case, religion) are killed while people of another are a-okay to slaughter.

Nevermind that it should be NEITHER case should be a-okay.

The Toronto Police Service? In this case Police Constable Farhan Ali’s Toronto Police Service (TPS) endorsed Instagram account, with the handle, “officerfarhan”. PC Farhan Ali, along with PC Haroon Siddiqui are the designated TPS Muslim Community Liaison Officers.

The Project Olive Branch Podcast appears to have been made pursuant to recommendations by the TPS Muslim Community Liaison Officers to Chief Demkiw. The podcast was said to be directed towards combatting Islamophobia, in the aftermath of Hamas’s unprecedented slaughter and kidnapping of Israeli citizens and others on October 7, 2023.

'A lot of people, after October 7, started learning about Islam. And they said, "Ok well what is it with the religion - why is it so hated? Why are they being attacked all the time?'' Siddiqui said.

He went on to say that the number of 'reverts' to Islam since the attacks was 'unbelievable', using the Islamic framing that everyone was born following Allah and new followers are returning rather than converting.

'They're actually educating themselves,' Siddiqui concluded.

The term 'revert' instead of 'convert' is used by those who claim Islam is everyone's natural faith and that Christians, Jews or Buddhists are created only through parents and society.
Deleting a problematic Toronto police podcast that saw uniformed TPS members praising the Oct. 7 terror attacks for increasing converts to Islam doesn’t go far enough to heal the rift with the city’s Jewish community, an advocacy group warns….but…but they’re building bridges, etc…

In a letter to Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw from Michelle Stock, Ontario VP for the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA,) merely deleting the offending podcast doesn’t address why police brass approved it in the first place.🤔

“Specifically, the comments made by Const. Farhan Ali and Const. Haroon Siddiqui lead us to question how such remarks were allowed to be published on an approved Toronto Police platform, with both officers in uniform, without a proper review of their potential impact” like getting caught and being answerable?

Ali and Siddiqui — both TPS Muslim liaison officers — made questionable comments during the podcast, including praising the Oct. 7 2023 Hamas terror attacks for an increase in converts to Islam and suggesting criticism of hateful anti-Israel protests amounts to “Islamophobia,” etc…
Stock (Michelle Stock, Ontario VP for CIJA) said the pair’s comments — made in uniform and presumably while on duty — violate the Community Safety and Policing Act, and questions if their views are shared by Toronto police.

“If not, why was this podcast uploaded under the TPS banner?” Stock asked.

Maybe things like this below blur the issue though. Celebrating Hamas atrocities while waving Palestinian flags, when clearly they’re two separate issues.
