An Islamic group facing a withering reception to plans for a conference dedicated to overthrowing governments to start a Muslim caliphate has issued a rare media statement denying it poses a security risk, and accusing critics of creating fake news.

The organization’s own materials, however, including a detailed manifesto, bluntly outline the group’s starkly anti-democratic, totalitarian, misogynistic, intractably monotheistic, militantly antisemitic worldview, where unprovoked jihad is a routine duty, Islamic law is paramount, and Israel must be exterminated — not even “a square inch” of the Jewish state can exist without constant war.

Their goal, Hizb ut-Tahrir’s manifesto says, is to ensure “Islam encapsulates the world.” Good times.
I wonder what Amira Elghawaby has to say about this?
Unnamed officials of Hizb ut Tahrir Canada, a branch of a strict international organization that is banned in several countries, issued a stern denial their conference poses a threat after a public outcry to its planned resurrection of their Khilafah Conference, a meeting that was abruptly cancelled last year after its sister organization was declared a terrorist entity in Britain.

The planned Khilafah Conference, calling for a Muslim caliphate where everyone lives under Islamic Shariah law, was originally scheduled for Jan. 18 at a secret location in Mississauga, just west of Toronto, but over the weekend, after a backlash from city officials, it was rescheduled for a secret location in Hamilton.

I wonder what Amira Elghawaby has to say about this?

Hizb ut-Tahrir, which advocates for the establishment of a global Islamic Caliphate, has been banned in several countries, including the United Kingdom and Germany, for promoting antisemitism and advocating violence against Israel and Jews. The upcoming conference, titled “The Khilafah: Eliminating the Obstacles that are Delaying its Return,” raises serious alarms about the group’s dangerous rhetoric and its incompatibility with Canada’s values of democracy, inclusion, and public safety.

MPP Lisa MacLeod apologizes for 'hateful and Islamophobic' social media post
Husien Abu-Rayash, a candidate to run for the PCs, said he will 'not be intimidated' by the outgoing Nepean MPP

Nepean MPP Lisa MacLeod has apologized for a social media post that claimed one of the people vying for her seat supports Sharia law.

The outgoing Progressive Conservative MPP posted on the social media site X on Jan. 7, sharing a link to the website of Husein Abu-Rayash, along with the comment, “Hey Nepean? If you support Sharia Law … next PC Candidate for Nepean could be…”

Sharia is a body of religious law that is part of the Islamic faith, based on the Qu’ran and other religious texts.

A now-deleted post from Lisa MacLeod accuses a man seeking the nomination to run for her seat in Nepean of promoting Sharia Law.

Abu-Rayash demanded an apology and for the post to be removed, saying MacLeod could face legal repercussions for defamation.

Abu-Rayash is seeking the Progressive Conservative nomination for the Nepean riding, as MacLeod announced in 2024 that she wouldn’t be seeking re-election. She has represented the riding since 2006.

In his own social media post the following day, Abu-Rayash said it was “deeply disappointing” that MacLeod “has chosen to interfere in Nepean’s nomination process by spreading defamatory, hateful, and Islamophobic rhetoric against me.”

“I am a proud father, conservative, Muslim and former reservist who has always sought to contribute to our beautiful country,” he wrote. “I will not be intimidated or allow anyone to undermine my reputation and integrity.”

He accused MacLeod of interfering with the nomination process, saying it was “time for her to step back and let the people of Nepean decide who their candidate should be.”

Abu-Rayash also posted a libel letter to MacLeod sent from his lawyer Mark Bourrie, saying her comments were an attack on Abu-Rayash’s religion and “a crude and heavy-handed attempt to defame him.”

Abu-Rayash’s website contains no information that he supports Sharia law, the letter says.

The letter continues, “your attempt to portray Mr. Abu-Rayash as an Islamic extremist contrasts sharply with the record. Mr. Abu-Rayash is a life-long conservative, member of the Canadian Forces reserve and a valued member of the Nepean community.”

The letter said MacLeod should immediately delete the post and “set the record straight,” as well as apologize to Abu-Rayash, or potentially face defamation claims.

MacLeod’s apology on social media said it was not her intention to “mislead or hurt anyone,” but said she recognized her comments were “inappropriate.”

“I have been on the receiving end of unfair comments myself and should have done better. This experience has reminded me of the importance of thoughtful and accurate communication,” she wrote.

MacLeod’s initial post was denounced by many, with Amira Elghawaby, Canada’s first Special Representative on Combatting Islamophobia, calling it Islamophobic.

“No @MacLeodLisa. Your comments don’t represent my Nepean,” Ottawa city Coun. David Hill posted online.

The Muslim Advisory Council of Canada urged Ontario Premier Doug Ford to remove MacLeod from the Progressive Conservative caucus, calling her remarks “deeply concerning” and perpetuating harmful stereotypes that marginalize Muslim communities.

“We urge all politicians to promote inclusivity and understanding, fostering a Canada where diversity is celebrated and discrimination is actively challenged. This is not the Ontario we know and love,” the council said.

The National Council of Canadian Muslims also was “profoundly disappointed” by MacLeod’s post.

Anyhoo the meme I saw had Chandra babbling in a thick accent with text saying "Canada's next Prime Minister" and a cut away to to Trump laughing and saying "speak English".

…& the Libs tossed Chandra Arya’s leadership bid without actually giving a public reason. Oh well.

The newest game to keep authorities and the Jewish community busy is for anonymous provocateurs to plan events in the GTA promoting terrorists or the idea of turning Canada into an Islamic caliphate — and then watch the reaction.

It’s never clear where these events are supposed to take place or if they are fakes put forward by some mischievous agitator. But just in case they do, the police have to spend resources to find out who, what and where, and the organizations protecting Jewish people need to advocate to ensure they don’t happen.
I wonder what Amira Elghawaby would have to say about this?

Her immigration file also reveals the office of Liberal MP Patrick Weiler contacted Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada no less than five times about her case.

Now the Canada Border Services Agency is accusing Zandi of being a senior member of Iran’s repressive regime and has launched deportation proceedings against her, Global News has learned.

Zandi’s lawyer declined to comment. The CBSA said it could not discuss the matter for privacy reasons. But the Immigration and Refugee Board said it was scheduling a deportation hearing for Zandi.

After arriving in Canada as a tourist, Elham Zandi applied for a work permit, and when officials investigated her past, she complained to the courts about the delay and sought $10,000 in damages.

Carney, Baylis and Trudeau have cast the Palestinians as victims, leaving plenty of oxygen for people to therefore demonize Israel, which then gives rise to the violence, vandalism and hate we see targeting so many Jews in Canada today.
I wonder what Amira Elghawaby has to say about this?
Would it really have hurt them to say, “Bring the hostages home”? Apparently, the political calculation for them was “yes.”

After 500 days its obvious Bibi never gave a shit about hostages or Jews in Montreal. Theyre martyrs/shaheeds.
