I would tend to agree with most of what your saying here Cliffy. I have no doubt that the lawyers aren't helping either.
I have sat in on a few of the negotiations and it is such BS. On two occasions my friends and I confronted government negotiators. Thier lawyers are their own corporate lawyers, the aboriginal peoples either do their own negotiations or they train their own people to be lawyers. I saw at least a dozen Niska lawyers up in Hazelton one day all in suits and brief cases. I did not see any private lawyers involved yet. Not saying they aren't, just never saw any.

Indian bands in BC claim the whole province several times over, their traditional lands overlap. Treaties are supposed to have finality, certainty. That is what most people and business want. Even if treaties are signed, for Indians, its not the end, there is always more they want. So its never over and this uncertainity prevents treaties from being signed. The game never ends, it goes on an on.

It's an issue that belongs to the old world, to Japan having claims against Russia about some desolate islands, and many other countries have endless disputes over borders. Most Canadians have very little time for this, don't understand it, so little can be done. It makes things very tricky for provincial and federal treaty negotiators.

By turning reserves into cities, this would not happen as cities have very defined constitutional powers. I don't support another or third order/level of govt. Words that are not actually written into treaties.

Treaties are supposed to have finality, certainty.
If it's indicated in the contract. As has been pointed out to you several times over.

That is what most people and business want.
For what purposes?

Even if treaties are signed, for Indians, its not the end, there is always more they want.
And so long as it is covered by the treaty they should get it.

It's an issue that belongs to the old world...
That by contract, affect the present world.

Most Canadians have very little time for this, don't understand it, so little can be done.
You and Cannuck have made it painfully clear, you don't understand it. that's for sure.

It makes things very tricky for provincial and federal treaty negotiators.
Where?

I don't support another or third order/level of govt. Words that are not actually written into treaties.
Are you sure about that?

My my, in these complex, long winded, and expensive negotiations, if one side doesn't like the other they're racist. Oooh, what a rough sandbox, such sophistication is just too much to bear. From the people who have to move their lips when they read.

Throwing out the racist card is the first sign of a lost argument. As of yet neither RCS, CB or any of his minions has bothered to explain how my opinion that all Canadian be treated equally before the law (regardless of race) is racist. I gave up trying to get an answer from them long ago.

That's what I keep telling CB but he just isn't ready to make that first step.
First you have to prove it.

I've asked several times to see the proof.

I gave up trying to get an answer from them long ago.
I gave up proving it over and over.

Just follow the links in my sig. They show you making up lies to smear First Nations people, ignoring fact and promoting stereotypes.

Since you rail against that sort of act by others, against other races. You must have a racial bias against First Nations.

For the record: Who are my minions?
Cannuck doesn't answer questions related to his imagination.

Hence why I'm still waiting for him to explain...

What my agenda is.
What me and my buddies want.
How I'm racist.
And who my buddies are.

How I'm racist.

Since I have stated clearly, on numerous ocassions that I wish to treat every canadian citizen equally before the law and you have stated clearly on numerous occasions that you disagree with my position, it really couldn't be more clear if it were an open window. It really isn't my problem to if you can't grasp such a simple concept nor does it interest me in anyway to explain it to you any further. You just are that that important to me (sorry to disappoint)

This would be one of the lies I was referring to.

I guess asking for proof, would be futile?

It really isn't my problem to if you can't grasp such a simple concept nor does it interest me in anyway to explain it to you any further.
Further? You haven't done anything but make unfounded, unsupported claims.

You just are that that important to me (sorry to disappoint)
I know I am.

How could I be disappointed though? You keep proving me right.

The proof is in the pages of this forum.
Weak dude. But predictable.

Don't be so lazy if it bothers you so much.
It doesn't. I just find the twisting and tuning you're doing very entertaining.

I know eh. He's so cute how he makes claims, to get my attention, but can't back them up.

He reminds me of the little girls that chase my youngest boy. Unsure how to express their affection, they resort to pestering.
