"Tory delegates say yes to guns, pension reform; no to sex-selective abortion, euthanasia."

Guns...........sure

Pension "reform" means pension reduction. More BS............your pension and my pension......not THEIR pension.

Selective sex abortion: A non starter. Who wants it ? Oh.............................."them". Well fukk them. No way.

Euthanasia..............yep. If the masters won't approve heroin to beat down pain in stage 4 cancer, (which they won't as they don't want anyone to become ""addicted"""..............for ****s sake. Bang my ****ing head on a wall. THEN, euthanasia should be available.

And then came the anti-labour resolutions.

Ensuring that there is no love lost between the labour unions and the Conservatives, delegates voted in favour of the following two resolutions.

The Conservative Party believes that Public Service benefits and pensions should be comparable to those available to similar employees in the private sector, and to the extent that they are not, they should be made comparable to such private sector benefits and pensions in future contract negotiations.
The Conservative Party believe that the government should prevent mandatory dues collected by unions from being diverted to fund political causes unrelated to workplace needs.

And then – in what will probably be a rallying cry for the union groups – members came out in support of right-to-work legislation.

Ever been to a convention as an observer or a delegate? Conventions discuss
ideas not direction in the short term. Conventions are part of the equation to
bring members together to discuss ideas and prepare for policies in the future.
Don't put too much faith things will change tomorrow. Guns red herring to stir
the masses. Abrotion and euthanasia stir the base and create the "Raw Raw"
effect.
pension reform they will chat about and get feedback if they were to reduce the
pensions now with millions of seniors going to vote.... they are not crazy they
are not going to give people like me a reason to hammer them and saying no to
sex selective aborthion is a good policy and most would agree with that. That is
the one they would likely adopt. It would find acceptance with the NDP and the
Liberals.
Sometimes when it comes to politicians I would like to see Abortion retroactively.

That's really what the public unions should expect when they overtly oppose the party that ends up winning the election.

Also, notice that the cash flowing into Que is not as generous as it has been in the past. I'll wager that this too is a function of the level of support that the province offered

You're against freedom of association, Tay?

And what about the right to work?

Are you referring to the Temporary Foreign Worker program?

Only public sector unions .

I know many people in working people's unions that also think public sector wage costs must be reigned in. More importantly many of us will at least grudgingly support Harper simply because his party is pushing the projects that provide us with jobs. Good paying union jobs, not the service industry mcjobs the lefties push.

Who are all these billionaire public workers?

It was the Leftie Liberals who put you to work. Harper is just a caretaker of that plan spending Socially like no Leftie has ever dreamed.

WHo said anything about billionaire public workers? Overpaid and pensioned yes. BC has a sunshine list. Shows all public employees making over $100g/yr. Nanaimo, which is not a big city has at least 6 in the fire dept. alone on that list. DOn't know about where you are.
The federal libs had nothing to do with most of the construction projects now going on in BC.

$100K a year is a lot? An experienced, non-union, ticketed construction worker in SK makes $120K in the south and $160K in the north Why aren't you making at least $100K in BC? It costs $500K to buy a trailer with a garden shed in BC and jobs pay jacksh*t. Why are you there?

Yes, the Fed Libs are why you are working and why AB and SK are growing at the rate they are.

Who was PM in 2004 and who pitched the Pacific Gateway Act (Bill C-68) which Harper modified and passed in 2006 as the Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor Initiative and the massive sell off of resource leases went haywire and outright Chinese investment to pay for it?

Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor Initiative

True, but how many working people do you know that make that much on less than 40 hr weeks?

I make that in 5 months, another 30 grand in the 3 months surrounding the season and enjoy 4 months off in late spring/early summer. My bank account and golf game are both improving thanks to the patch.;-)

Wrong. The reason we are busy is because of the PROVINCIAL Liberals. DOn't you have manure to shovel?
