There is no means to oust him based on that. I have simply stated a simply fact that he has admitted to criminal acts.

Smoking crack is a crime(you implicitly have to possess it to smoke it), buying weed is a crime, driving drunk is a crime.

City council has had to spend lots of time dealing with his behavior over the years. From racist, homophobic, and sexist comments on the council floor, to getting drunk and harassing people at a Leafs game(which is initially lied about, claiming that he wasn't even at the game).

The revelations we are seeing now go back years. We are getting a closer look at just what he has been doing while he has been mayor of Toronto.

Haha, ya, real nicely.

If Rob Ford was only facing allegations related to having a prostitute in his office, it might be analogous, but sadly that isn't the case.

Ford has been given a pass for many many many one off things.

Of course it does. One or two things can legitimately be looked at as a mistake or quirk. Wide reaching issues taking place over years are a different story.

Your reply indicates otherwise.

And then there is the old saying that the crime is in getting caught more so than the actual commission of the crime. -:)

Are you talking about the people who have admitted to smoking weed? They should be treated the same way that Rob Ford was treated when he told the media that he has smoked "a lot" of weed. The media laughed it off.
Oh ok, so weed gets a pass.

Why is that?

Your comments are all highly subjective things.
Some are, and oddly enough, just like yours. But the fact remains, he was doing his job, his constituents were happy, while all these skeletons were neatly tucked away.

What we do know is that council has had to take time to deal with all of the situations that I mentioned.
No they didn't. They chose to, in attempts to oust someone that was a political thorn in their collective sides.

Lol, ya, everyone who has followed the news knows who she is. What does that do to disprove the allegations?
They aren't allegations, it's simply something Ransom said in a interview with police. The media made them allegations.

She simply isn't a prostitute, lol.

What exactly is your point?
Getting the excuses out.

Getting your freak on in a rub-n-tug is a mistake, or quirk, lmao. That's one of the best whitewashes I've ever heard, lol.

That certainly seems to be the plan that the Mayor is following. All of his admissions have really only come after things pretty much became foregone conclusions. He has not come out ahead of any of these issues.

Drugs, drink I really have no issue as it is aparent he has a problem with addiction- IMHO- Now if there were criminal acts committed, that he was aware of in attempting to retrieve the video- then hang him.
One of those people in the video was murdered and nothing yet on that- I am not attaching the murder to Ford.
As to yellow journalism - Yep- Lots of news higher ups banging their staff- and I am sure it goes from the TO Star to the CBC. Along with drugs from grass on up being used.
Same applies to Fed MP's where reporters decide to keep it quiet.

That's speculation.

I'll buy the figurative rope.

A repetitive problem with alcohol- You can drink 4 times a year and still have a problem with booze.
And no, not 3 months at a time.
I still think he should take some time away.
Get the timelines correct.
Jumping up and running into that elderly lady, accident yes, should not have occurred. He blew a gasket- Does not reflect well upon him with everything going on.
He is walking, acting and living on a tight wire. Every move he makes is noted by the press or TV.

I have often entertained the exact question with respect to Mr Bear. I wish you luck in your quest. If by chance you are gifted, by some celestial intervention, with an answer could you please PM me and give me rest at last.

A couple weeks ago, I could have been persuaded.

I think those that are reasonable, if he comes clean, takes the time. People can be forgiving but he will also have to have his story straight with no surprises.
That temper he has, must be controlled. That woe is me, must be set aside, the I have been the best for the little guy, set aside.
Focus on the situation that is engulfing him. No deflections.
Then he may have a chance.
People are forgiving when it comes from the heart- so far we have not seen that.
