In case you haven't noticed, this thread is about Ford, not your obsession with me.

I think you owe it to everyone else reading it to avoid derailing.

It seems that his go to tactic is to just spew nonsense and personal attacks when challenged.

They are not suing to have him step down. They are suing him for 5.2 million dollars in damages on behalf of Torontonians “whose reputation has been negatively impacted by the defendant’s admission to smoking crack cocaine coupled with his refusal to resign” and hurting the “Toronto Brand, causing the plaintiffs future loss of business opportunities.”

Not a chance in hell that it will go anywhere, but funny none the less.

You can join here if you want in on the fun.

Stop Rob Now | Join the class action lawsuit

One would have to be an idiot living in toronto to join in. Mostly i think it is some lawyer looking for his 15 minutes of fame.

I'm sure you pointing that out makes you some massive hypocrite in his eyes.

But yea, I'm glad the truth is out about Ford's lies.

People are much better off knowing the truth.

My distaste and discomfort about how this is all proceeding really has nothing to do with Ford or my opinion of him. Which, to be honest, really hasn't changed all that much.

I'm not sure if you recall, but I did say to you, long before this whole thing erupted, that I didn't find him to be the right personality to be in a leadership position. Not his ideas, his plans, his platform, but his personality. He's not cut out for it. Now I get why he was elected, it was his platform. And I think if you look during all of this how his support, although waning now, held on for the longest time. People wanted to see past all this. Why? Because he's a lovable guy? I don't think so, lol. It was because they so wanted to hold on to what he represented politically that they were willing to, desperate to even, try to look past all the B.S. People, political hopefuls in Toronto in particular, should be paying big time attention to that!

Now there is a real problem with our politics. Politicians often don't get elected based on their platform rather because of their personality and how they can make the BS flow. Like just-in.

No, I resort to that when I come to the conclusion, supported by fact, that specific members are hypocrites, ideologues and or incapable of being honest.

Although in your defense, the former simply preclude anything but the latter from happening.

I'm sure you pointing that out makes you some massive hypocrite in his eyes.
No, not at all. Like when you do it, it's simply your go to tactic when you get tired of me pointing out your failings, and inability to have an honest discussion.

You know, like when you get mad when I won't answer your question, but have no problem avoiding mine.

I can't make this stuff up, it's all right there for all to see, lolz.

Why Rob Ford Happened - Businessweek

Ever since the crack scandal first erupted in May—the U.S. gossip site Gawker broke the news of the video—Ford has wrapped himself in the claim that he’s saved Toronto taxpayers a billion dollars so far, so who cares what he does on the side? But even a cursory examination has proven that claim to be wildly exaggerated at best. “It’s completely nonsensical,” says Keenan, who examined Ford’s logic in several articles for the newspaper The Grid. “He’ll count a user fee [such as the vehicle registration tax, which brought in roughly $60 million in revenue a year] as something he eliminated as saving the taxpayers money but will include user fees on community recreations centers, that he increased, as savings too. They’re on opposite sides of the budget ledger.”

The Mayor of Toronto is a politically weak office. Ford wields only one vote on the city council, and he has proven ineffectual at maintaining alliances, even with his shrinking inner circle, alienating constituencies as he goes along. He has painted over newly built bike lanes, pushed for vastly more expensive subways over light rail lines (which would serve more commuters), and spontaneously floated the idea of replacing decades of careful planning on waterfront development with a mega-mall, complete with a Ferris wheel and monorail. When questioned by other councilors on these issues during debates, Ford often demonstrated ignorance of the relevant facts, retreating behind the assertion that he’d been out in the community, speaking to the people. He knew what the people wanted, and that was all that mattered.

Mike Del Grande, a city councilor who was Ford’s budget chief during the first two years of his administration, gave up on the mayor after he voted down Del Grande’s proposed budget in January. “I had given two years and 80-hour weeks to pull all the numbers together for the budget,” says Del Grande. “[Ford] voted against it. … He didn’t have the realization that if you just lowered the tax rate, you had to make up for the shortfall. You can’t just arbitrarily introduce a lower tax rate, without accounting for the difference in revenue that the lower tax rate could bring.”

The consensus in Toronto’s business community seems to be that Ford’s kamikaze run won’t stop the city’s economy any more than Silvio Berlusconi’s bunga bunga parties could derail Fiat sales.

According to Global News this AM your story is false. The man in the picture stated he is NOT Ford's personal trainer. SInce the Toronto news outlets are all in such a rush to slander the mayor they are doing even worse than their normal poor journalism.

Poor journalism? LOL. They based the whole story on a tweet dude!

Watching the supposed objective fall all over themselves to post it first was hilarious.

Well, what we know is that he is now saying that he is not training the mayor.

As recently as yesterday he was talking like this.

"However, in an earlier telephone interview Wednesday, Moscariello was enthusiastic about training the mayor, who was sweating it out on a treadmill the night before, weighing in at 336 pounds.

“He’s got the discipline and he’s got the drive. I really think he can lose the weight, but he has to give it his all. I want him to give me 100%, not even just 99%. Without 100% I won’t take him on. But if he gives me 100%, if he comes to the gym, I’ll beat him up [through a rigorous workout]. I’ll beat him up until he can’t take anymore,” Moscariello told the National Post.

“With Rob, I think the problem is what he eats. He’s on the go, he’s here and there and he doesn’t eat what he should. If Rob eats proper food, he will change. But you need to do this every day. Every day.” No amount of working out can make up for poor food choices, he said.

“You are what you eat.

“You’d be amazed how agile he is. He knows how to move 300 pounds around easily.”"

And he tweeted this back on the 16th(at a porn star, but I guess that is besides the point).

TLDR: watching you jump all over anything that supports your views and ignoring everything else explains a lot about how your form your opinions.

It's deplorable when someone considers a tweet a valid news source....
Well here you see it in all it's glory, lol.

Haha, so you have no response to this at all?
Ya, you just quoted it, lol. Other than that, I don't really care what the guy is.

But you and your obsession do, lol.

The guy was talking in detail about training Rob just yesterday.
Ya, so?

Only someone completely void of objective thought would make it an issue. The guy has paid his debt. I believe in due process, and when justice has been served, you move forward. But then again, I don't have a hateful obsession to bolster, lol.

Thanks for removing any doubt, lol.

Just pointing out the hypocrisy of the newsmedia jumping on anything that sells print without fact checking. Since I don't have a horse in the race it makes no difference to me if Toronto goes back to drowning in debt and garbage.

I think we can all agree that Ford's done enough damage to his image as a mayor.

The greater point now is Rob's fiscal efficacy which is at risk of being a completely moot talking point from Ford Nation.

Not unless you spin it. I agree it's been stretched to legendary proportions. But it isn't all about money to some, to some it was about tipping over the trough, which he had done.

Lol, they did fact check the story!

Why does everyone seem to think that an interview with the guy detailing his work with Ford as his personal trainer is meaningless?

Because the guy is just an employee at the gym Ford works out at, lol. My buddy Richie works out there, OMG, he should be hung out to dry too!!!

Please keep posting, lol.
