Weed is less harmful and widely available. Everyone has been offered weed by a friend so they can empathize a lot more. Something like crack is a lot more disturbing, especially when he explains it by saying that he was in a "drunken stupor".
Moral relativism.

I don't see any posts from you complaining about Ford smoking weed back from when he admitted it, so why are you worried about it now?
I'm not worried, I just like watching people make excuses.

Again, if he is good at his job or not is very subjective.
Not according to your standards.

The question was if his behavior was an issue until recently, and the fact is that council has been sidetracked by issues around his behavior in all 4 of the councils that he has been a part of, including under the conservative mayor Mel Lastman.
Because council wanted to bring it up. There are no laws that state they had to. The fact they were brought before council was about politics, not about what council had to do.

Nice try though.

You are trying to play semantics but you are not even getting the words right.
Oh brother. I hate having discussions that pertain to legal terms with people that don't know the first thing about how legal terms are applied.

Just because she won some two bit beauty pageant she couldn't possibly be a prostitute? Look at the website for the pageant. The contact email is a yahoo mail account. Home
LOL,you guys have no problem taking anyone down you can, just to take Ford down, it's funny watching you do it with such little evidence and the flimsiest of sources.

There have been more than a few winners of real pageants caught up in prostitution and porn, so I don't think you are making the best argument here.
I said she was Miss Toronto, look her up. Her life isn't that private anymore, and no one has found anything to pin to her, including the police. But you know better, lol.

I can see actually doing any research beyond what supports your agenda is out of the question.

I did not address that comment at any incident in particular. I couldn't care less what a dead politician might have done 17 years ago.
No doubt. You just whitewashed it.

You seem to think that individual indiscretions by other people somehow deflect from the clear pattern of problems and vast list of bad things that the Mayor has done, but any objective observer can see that there is a difference.
No, I actually don't, no there isn't and objective observers don't usually try and convict based on untested statements, nor do they inject their moral or ethical opinions into the equation.

Ford drinking and driving that one time in Florida can easily be seen as a mistake. Ford having repeated incidents spanning well over a decade caused by his alcohol consumption isn't a mistake, it is a problem.
It wasn't for the people that elected him.

Is this a surprise to you? He's lost it.

He is being honest.
Hey Mr. "I just wanna a civil discussion", you missed a question.

You are honestly saying that Ford has not shown a clear pattern of problems and bad behavior? There is more than enough evidence that has been on display.

Lets rewind to the actual text that you quoted from me. It is about how a pattern of problems and bad behavior is different than one or two incidents.

If you had a kid and he crashed the family car once, would you respond in exactly the same way as if he crashed the car 5 different times?

No, I said I don't think individual indiscretions (LOL) by other people deflect from a clear pattern of problems and a vast list of bad things (LOL), no there isn't a clear pattern of problems and a vast list of bad things, when I use your logic, and finally, you are not objective.

All one has to do is read your words, "individual indiscretions" (LOL) v "problems and bad behavior", which you have already stated were crimes.

If you had a kid and he crashed the family car once, would you respond in exactly the same way as if he crashed the car 5 different times?
My son would have crashed the car once. I don't whitewash bad acts as "mistakes", "quirks", "individual indiscretions", based on how much I like the person or their political bent.

Anyways, you're obviously as equipped for honest discussion as Flossy on this topic, so I'll let you get back to trashing a young lady's life so you can kick Ford while he's down, speaking of bad acts, lol.

No doubt. I've been reading up on Kindree the last couple days. If she's a pro, she must be pretty fast at the in and out, what with all the charity functions, her internship at Planet focus, her job at the Milford Bistro, her wedding gown modeling gigs.

People so willing to throw an innocent person under the bus so they can crucify someone else they hate, sickens me.

Northern Ontario,
I'm amused by the way some people rant about Ford and the beauty queen the same way Limbaugh used to rant about Clinton's B.Jobs..

I'll bet they love being compared to Limbaugh

could we called them Rush Ruff? or Mental Rush?

Whenever these kind of 'scandals' emerge, it brings out the worst in people. News becomes gossip.

Well said.

It's not that I'm holding myself as superior or anything, but that kind of low brow "information" just doesn't interest me in the slightest. I can barely tolerate the normal sensationalistic type of news media we have anymore, particularly television news. But when 'news' is essentially nothing more than embarrassing moments in someone's life, I find it embarrassing to watch it.

Lol, am I? I just think no one else is around right now, lol.

I just find this level of intense scrutiny overblown and overwhelming. And pointless.

I even get uncomfortable when the news magazine shows confront some guy in the parking lot though, lol. It makes me squirm.

Nah, you're always saying something interesting, I just happen to agree with what you're saying right now, lol.

Oh no, it's not pointless, Ford was ousted by it. That makes the elitist douche bags happy, even if they pretend they didn't want him ousted, lol.

Meh, it depends on what they're confronting him about.

My distaste and discomfort about how this is all proceeding really has nothing to do with Ford or my opinion of him. Which, to be honest, really hasn't changed all that much.

I'm not sure if you recall, but I did say to you, long before this whole thing erupted, that I didn't find him to be the right personality to be in a leadership position. Not his ideas, his plans, his platform, but his personality. He's not cut out for it. Now I get why he was elected, it was his platform. And I think if you look during all of this how his support, although waning now, held on for the longest time. People wanted to see past all this. Why? Because he's a lovable guy? I don't think so, lol. It was because they so wanted to hold on to what he represented politically that they were willing to, desperate to even, try to look past all the B.S. People, political hopefuls in Toronto in particular, should be paying big time attention to that!

According to the paper there is a group of taxpayers hoping to circumvent the democratic process by filing a class action lawsuit demanding Ford resign.
