the entire idea here is to get the senate under democrat control.
the more republicans can be shown to be partisan hacks the better the chances of that.
Mcconnel and graham are leading the gop up the ramp into the slaughterhouse
This is my thought as well. It's not solely about removing Trump from power, there is likely a longer game in mind.

If only there was some type of mechanism that would allow the population to decide in a democratic way, who should lead the people of their nation and represent their views. H'mmm

I know allow a handful of Elites to decide for the whole population what they should think, and take away their choices so they don't make the wrong one twice.

I just thought "snowflake" was a suitable term for sensitive people who "melt down" at the slightest provocation. If you can come up with a better term I have no objection to using it. :)

And still, here we are, at snowflake. Sigh. Carry on then...

Or... or... give the complete case to the American people for them to decide, novel idea huh?

I remember saying to get the power away from a couple hundred square mile land mass so the concerns for the whole country can be met.

So you are OK with the popular vote? It figures it would have nullified the results of your 2016 election, and the bulk of your concerns would be concentrated on the highly populated urban centers. It would have also nullified our 2019 election as well I guess. I'm not a fan of the popular vote it leads to the same concerns I have now, there has to be a way of letting 8 provinces have equal say in our Gov. as 2 have now.

If 2 provinces are sending 200 MP's to parliament 8 provinces should be able to match or be within reach of that number of MP's to represent the rest of Canada to balance the concerns of all Canadians.

oh I get the gist of it,

your vote should be worth the same as 10 people from Ontario

Yes. I favor direct national popular election of the president and vice-president. I've said so several times. I'm even willing to explain why, but I see you've already decided why. Where'd you get that? Breitbart? Fox?

I have no opinion of your 2019 election. I really don't care whom the client states elect to be their Utility Ministers.

No I'm not arguing for a popular vote at all, besides I might be worth more than 10 votes, I'm advocating for more regional representation. Maybe the 905 could be represented by 10 MP's instead of 50, what is the square footage of a constituency in the 905 area code? My MP represents 500 square miles, how about yours?

I might be swayed to vote this way if leadership was separated from party vote, 2019 would have had a Lib. Gov. with a Con. leader in your proposal.

And I have said as much before.

the 905 already has ridings that have twice the population of yours.

isn't that enough for you? Your vote is worth two of theirs.

That would be a big improvement over what we have...…………...Harper as leader would even be better!
