Wouldn't the fact that DJT is preventing some key people from testifying qualify as obstruction of justice??
He IS being obstructive.....Plus he is badgering the winterises. ......
What a nasty lying sociopath........
( CNN will have a program on the weekend.......called "all the presidents lies"...........( or something similar.)
Yup. Count 3 in the bill of impeachment against Nixon.

Bush the Lesser pioneered this. Do whatever the hell you want, and by the time it gets to the Supreme Court, argue that it's moot because you're done with whatever it was. Extraordinary rendition, torture, illegal detention, and now corruption and bribery.

lol After everything Sondland said today, the House will impeach. He threw Trump onto the rails. We'll see if Giuliani, Mulvaney, Volker, etc. will dodge or corroborate Sondland.
In case you hadn't caught what Sondland said, here: "I know that members of this committee have frequently framed these complicated issues in the form of a simple question: Was there a `quid pro quo?' As I testified previously, with regard to the requested White House call and White House meeting, the answer is yes," Sondland said. And he backed up the idea that Giuliani was in on it: "Mr. Giuliani's requests were a quid pro quo for arranging a White House visit for President Zelenskiy," Sondland said. "Mr. Giuliani was expressing the desires of the President of the United States, and we knew that these investigations were important to the President."
Sondland also told Mike Pompeo and Mulvaney that Zelenskiy would conduct a "fully transparent investigation" and "turn over every stone."
He told Pompeo that he and Volker, had negotiated a statement that Zelenskiy could deliver that "will hopefully make the boss happy enough to authorize an invitation" to the White House.
Jim Jordan, David Nunes, Mark Meadows, and Doug Collins can't get around that, not that they aren't trying.
I betcha Trump will scapegoat Giuliani now after explaining he hardly knew anyone involved and Tweeting more childish epithets about the witnesses. lol He's quite predictable that way.
That's not what Moosie heard.

I am wondering how much Trump really cares about being President. He's got lots of money, he's made acquaintance with every powerful person in the country, more than enough for help with every aspect of his life should he ever need it, changes have been made with "his stamp" on them which he will be remembered for, and having already served 3/4 of a term has accomplished more than any other American except previous Presidents and is still liked by over 30% of the people in the country AND if he ever decided he would like to run again would probably still having a fair chance of winning. It just doesn't get much better than that.

I found it interesting that today there wasn't just Giuliani mentioned, and not just Pompeo, but also Pence.

Things have been quiet about Pence being involved, but now this...

It's gonna be fought against, obviously; they'll say it's not true, that Sondland was bribed, coached, etc to blame Pence as well... but the way you can also look at it, Sondland knows now whatever he does, Trump is gonna lash out at him and he'll likely lose his job, and that if it's found out he lied for Trump, he's done, so tell the truth and get it over with.

Either way you look at it - for or against Trump - today was not a good day.

When directly asked who would benefit from an investigation into the Bidens, Ambassador Sondland said, after much hedging, that it would benefit Trump.

.....

Interesting.

how is a communication between Trump and Sondland as reported by Sondland 2nd or 3rd hand hearsay?

is it because you don't know what hearsay is?

The Dems. aren't attempting to spin 2nd and third hand hearsay into being like first hand info?
Nope. The only ones that are questioning the value of secondhand info are the Republicans......... This is NOT a court of law...... This is the gathering of information and building a case on pattern of behavior....... or an instance of behavior.

The people with first hand info are being obstructed from being questioned...by Trump himself.

Would love to see Trump testify........but only if wired up to a lie detector. ;-)

Absolutely. Cuz they're EEE-vil and hate Murka and are just trying to hurt President Jesus Superman Trump, the bestest, nicest, bravest man who ever lived, who built the Wall from sea to shining sea and between New Mexico and Colorado, and wiped out the national debt and gave everybody free health care!

Good bit of damage, no knockout punch.

There won't be any knockout punches, because Donny Dodger is hiding anybody with full knowledge.

That's OK. You build a wall a brick at a time.

Not that it'll matter. Not with 53 Republican senators.

Still, fun seeing the MAGAhats pissing themselves whilst loudly yelling "I ain't a-skeered!"
Full knowledge of Joe Biden bragging about being corrupt ?

You are such a good skater you should play in the NHL . Why not explain how Joe Biden getting the prosecutor of the company his son Hunter is a board member of fired is not worthy of investigation ?

Maybe he has all that , and wants to see the country that allows him such largess thrive ,
