I think it was Karrie that pointed it out the other day, I missed it being done then myself as I was only skimming the thread off and on while at work. Like I said, I do believe it's unintentional but, since it has been pointed out, I think we should be a little more diligent about it.

The link thing, again completely on the CBC for that one, is an unfortunate search result but I don't think some people even realize that you can change the name in the link itself and the link will still work. I just thought, in this instance, it might be a good idea.
yes I didn't know you could change it either.

This case is becoming more intense and sordid.

The ex-boyfriend and parents of that missing girl Laura Babcock, reported Millard but the police were not interested at that time. And where are those other two suspects, China?

To be fair, not a lot of people pay that close attention to the words contained in a link either. I just happened to notice it because of what was pointed out the other day regarding mixing the names up and the post quoted was about Bosma but the reply was about Millard. So it just kind of popped out at me to be honest.

Why did I have to be right on this? Damn, I just had a feeling in my gut when I first heard that this was not about, or not just about, a truck. Maybe I watch too much ID Discovery.

I think, just speculating here of course, that the police are waiting on the other suspects because it's been suggested that there is a circle of Millard's friends that could have some involvement. I'm betting they are going to scoop them all at the same time. At least I hope so. As far as I'm concerned, if anyone even knew about these things after the fact and did nothing, they are complicit. It's one thing to protect a friend or a family member, I get that, but keeping quiet about these events is beyond inhuman.

Any person that hops into a truck with two strangers and doesn't return in under an hour... :( not good. Kijiji is going to take a hit for sure.

The part that mystifies me and made me defend him to begin with was, the truck parked at the grandmother's/mother's (there were conflicting news statements on that) but none the less parked with family and the body burned on his farm. Who leaves the evidence in plain sight. Now it could be reverse idiocy of course, but it could still be a set up.

Makes you think twice, that's for sure.

Or just a sense of being untouchable perhaps. Also, we're looking at the big picture while he was looking at a small piece (where to put the truck), and the views can be very, very different. Probably figured the last place anyone would ever look for the truck would be his mother's house, particularly if he figured he'd never be ID anyway. Myself, I just think he was/is an unsophisticated criminal and was probably feeling a little invincible. Particularly if he'd/they'd gotten away with this before, with respect to the missing woman.

perhaps yes...part of the characteristic MO of a psychopath are feelings of power and being invulnerable

sometimes just for being wealthy and privileged too.

Anyway, time will tell. But every scrap of information that comes out paints a more and more twisted image of this individual. I'm betting he'll be neighbouring with Bernardo before too long.

8O oops too late, they may move the venue we all know too much anyway. 8O

It's okay, we can fix this! Repeat after me..."I believe in the death penalty and think people should be hung without a trial." That should scare off both the Crown and defense attorneys. ;)

Just for serious offenses though!

That's the spirit! Method acting is the way to go on this one I think. Become the character.

LOL.

Police to charge second man with murder in Tim Bosma case - The Globe and Mail

Police have made a second arrest in the Tim Bosma murder case.

Mark Smich, 25, of Oakville, Ont., was arrested Wednesday morning, Superintendent Dan Kinsella said at a press conference broadcast from Hamilton Police Service’s Central Station.

He will be charged with first-degree murder in connection with the killing of 32-year-old Ancaster resident Tim Bosma.
