Aside from the 'run by gangs', and the regular deaths of others, it describes the boys who killed in my home town quite well.

We have the same Ghettos expanding in Canada. And we will also see more violence. Guns are easy to acquire, ammo is more difficult.

Think that all you want, but I suspect they're nothing of the sort. We're going to have to rename you Libutus.

Yeah, ok.

The three teens now say that they killed Lane at random because they were “bored.”

The PJ Tatler » Were Chris Lane’s Teenage Killers Really ‘Bored’? (Warning: Strong Language)

It comes a day after Duncan Police Chief Danny Ford said he had secured the confession of one of the boys who summoned investigators to his jail cell and claimed the boys were bored "so they decided to kill somebody".

1. People of color account for the majority of gun-violence victims. There are large racial disparities in homicide rates due to gun violence. The gun-homicide rate for black males is 2.4 times as high as that of Latino males, and it is 15.3 times as high as the rate for non-Hispanic white males. Murder and non-negligent manslaughter victims are most frequently black or Latino, with blacks comprising 67 percent of victims and Latinos comprising 28.1 percent. Blacks make up roughly 13 percent of the U.S. population, but in 2010—the last year for which data is available—they suffered 56 percent of all firearm homicides.
2. Gun violence is one of the leading causes of death for teens of color. Guns cause the deaths of thousands of teens each year. In 2008 and 2009 gun homicide was the leading cause of death among black teens, and the rates of gun-related deaths are highest for black male teens. For black families, the chance of a male child dying from a gunshot wound is 62 percent higher than the chance of him dying in a motor-vehicle crash. In 2010 American Indian male teens had the second-highest rate of gun-related deaths, with 19.3 gun-related deaths per 100,000 teens. Latino male teens followed, with 17.8 per 100,000. In contrast, white male teens had the second-lowest rate, with only 9.4 per 100,000.

This is not racism. The numbers are there.

Then why does it continue. The underlying causes and effect are why these numbers are what they are.

Looking through articles on group thrill kills it actually looks to be a pretty global issue, and eerily age related to teenagers and very early 20's.

The po' yutes were just bored. Probably misunderstood and all.

Same thing was said about the suspects in the "wilding" incident. We learned years later that the confessions were coerced and that the incident was made up.

Better to reserve judgment until all facts are ascertained in a court of law. Meanwhile let's mourn for the victim and hope that justice will be done.

Media That Routinely Called Zimmerman ‘White’ Avoids Describing Christopher Lane’s Killers

The murder of Australian national Christopher Lane, a baseball player in his 20s, who was merely out for a jog when he was gunned down by three Oklahoma teens has shocked the country. The wantonness and senselessness of the act of violence compounded by one of the killer’s statements to police: “We were bored and didn’t have anything to do, so we decided to kill somebody.” But the media has predictably made this story about themselves, albeit inadvertently. A media that arguably fostered the creation of a racial angle in the killing of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman from the minute it became a national story has contorted itself in tortured ways to avoid describing the suspects in Lane’s murder.

“Three boys, ages 15, 16, and 17, are in custody and face a court appearance Tuesday afternoon,” The Huffington Post reported when the story broke.

CBS News issued a similar report describing the suspects merely as “teens” who had posted on Facebook that they planned to kill two people in as many hours but were apprehended before they could carry out their plot.

that's how she goes eh

Black teen who allegedly murdered Australian jogger posted racist Tweets

One of the teens charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Australian baseball player Christopher Lane in Duncan, Okla., previously posted anti-white statements on his Twitter feed.

James Edwards, 15, Chancey Luna, 16, and Michael Jones, 17, have all been charged as adults in Lane’s death. Lane, a 22 year-old student from Melbourne, was out for a jog last Friday evening when the three teens began following him in a car and shot him “just for the fun of it,” according to Duncan officials.

Edwards and Luna are charged with first-degree murder while Jones is accused of using a vehicle in the discharge of a weapon and as an accessory to first-degree murder after the fact. Edwards and Luna are held without bond; Jones’ bond has been set at $1 million.

Edwards’ social media activities are still on stark display and show the teen glorifying hip-hop, violence, and sex. Pictures on Facebook also show Edwards and Luna wearing gang colors and flashing gang signs.

A couple of Tweets also suggest that Edwards wasn’t fond of white people.

On April 29, he tweeted, “90% of white ppl are nasty. #HATE THEM.”

I'll never understand 'thrill killing'. When I was growing up, we had a couple teens, 15 and 17, who broke into the home of an elderly couple, just to kill them. It devastated so many people, even the boys' families. I can't fathom the mentality behind it.

Some people just want to watch the world burn.

To start with the laws have to change. Juvenile crime should be for minor things
small property crimes and so on. For serious crimes like murder, rape, riot violence,
and so on all should be tried as Adults period. Do the crime do the time and no
special conditions anymore.

Alright. Then the law abiding teens should get all the rights and privileges that come with being an adult. Not just the bad parts when they commit a crime.

I doubt any relatively normal person can or will ever understand it. Its a totally different way of thinking. Ive had an interest in the darker side of humanity from a very young age because I wanted to understand it and why things like this happen. I got nothing so far. I can sort of understand a psychopath but they dont usually kill for thrills. They kill in part because they lack emotions to begin with. To get a thrill you would need to feel something. For a thrill the person would have to be a real sadist. In both cases there are usually warning signs before they wind up killing a person.

Looking through articles on group thrill kills it actually looks to be a pretty global issue, and eerily age related to teenagers and very early 20's.

That isnt too surprising. Kids in that age range are usually thrill seeking and take strange risks. Usually just with themselves though. Whether it be drugs, sex, violence or drunk driving - that age group is more likely to do it. They are also far more likely to commit suicide than any other age group. The part of the brain that allows a person to consider long term consequences usually doesn't develop until the early to mid 20s. I never did anything particularly dangerous though I did do some stupid things when I was a teenager as I'm sure most of us have. I know some people who did die over seemingly obvious stupid choices - like getting in the car with a drunk driver or taking morphine pills one of their friends gave them.

Oklahoma teens charged with murdering Australian athlete because they were 'bored'

'THRILL-KILLERS': James Francis Edwards Jr., 15, Chancey Allen Luna, 16, and Michael Dewayne Jones, 17, are seen in booking photos after their arrest in the senseless murder or an Australian college baseball player in Oklahoma.

Three teenage boys were charged in the killing of an Australian university student in Oklahoma "for the fun of it," prosecutors said on Tuesday

Christopher Lane, of Melbourne, was found dead of a gunshot wound on Friday, according to police in Duncan, Oklahoma, about 80 miles south of Oklahoma City.

“They followed him, shot him in the back and drove off,” Duncan, Okla., police chief Danny Ford said yesterday.

“When asked why he [a 17-year-old suspect] did it, he said, ‘We were bored and decided to kill somebody.’ ”

According to police, Jones admitted that the teens decided to kill someone "for the fun of it."

Charged with first-degree murder are Chancey Allen Luna, 16, and James Francis Edwards Jr., 15. Michael Dewayne Jones, 17, who allegedly drove the vehicle carrying the other suspects, was charged with use of a vehicle in the discharge of a weapon and accessory to murder after the fact, according to the Stephens County District Attorney's office.

Police said Jones named Luna as the gunman.

Lane was out jogging during a visit to his girlfriend and her family in Duncan on Friday, when he was shot in the back, police said. He attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, where he was on a baseball scholarship.

Police said a witness called 911 when she saw Lane stagger across the road and fall.

According to police, Jones told police on Sunday that they saw Lane jogging and decided he would be their target. Police said the three followed him in their vehicle and shot Lane in the back, police said.

Police used surveillance video from area businesses to identify the vehicle, which was found later at a church parking lot with the three suspects inside after a caller reported three youths with guns who were threatening to kill someone.

The vehicle's trunk contained a shotgun with the serial numbers sanded off, but the actual weapon used in the shooting has not been found, police said.

Lane's father, Peter Lane, called the killing "senseless" in an interview broadcast on CNN from Australia.

"There's not going to be any good coming out of this because it was so senseless," Lane said. "It happened, it's wrong and we're just trying to deal with it the best we can."

Lane had started as a catcher for the ECU Tigers.

In a statement, ECU baseball coach Dino Rosato said Lane was a well-respected teammate.

Why would that be relevant? They have much bigger concerns there one would hope. Obama only commented on the Trayvon Martin thing after being asked. I do not see why he was asked in the first place or why people should be asking the white house for their position on any single murder.
But BHO knew about it unlike the IRS and NSA, etc.
