Nobody knows exactly how many Indians died of smallpox in the dreadful epidemic of 1837–38. To their surprise, they found that in seven of the nine cities they examined, the human-parasite model more closely fit mortality records than the rat-flea model.

In its report, the CDC highlighted three things that have contributed to American’s shrinking life expectancy in recent years: drug overdoses, chronic liver disease, and suicide. “Increased death rates for unintentional drug overdoses in particular—a subset of unintentional injuries—contributed to the negative change in life expectancy observed in recent years,” the report reads.

I have come to understand that my academic professors at the University of Minnesota Medical School that taught us naïve students about the alleged safety and alleged efficacy of mass vaccination campaigns had also been mis-taught by their own professors who probably only knew the historical myths about Jenner, cowpox and smallpox and the early myths about Salk and Sabin and their often failed, even disastrous experiments with polio vaccines
