Wait. . . they ADMITTED it? Wow.
The band did. The white apologists are insisting on a law that makes it illegal to question the narrative. It was mostly MSM that started the story of mass graves. The guy running the GPR said anomalies. CBC and a couple of other media companies on the dole that changed anomalies to unmarked graves. Naturally, the people that live off government grants are opposed to actually digging to prove the claim.

Only a lawyer could possibly think there is a difference between them.
Yeah, we specialize in creating, and destroying, wordgames that try to bend things.

For example, "Average global temperatures have risen by 1.5 degrees Celsius since 1966" is a fact (if true, I have no idea).

"If we don't tax the piss out of gasoline, we're all gonna die!" is a "truth."

The latter has nothing to do with the former.

And, I'm beginning to wonder if it was REALLY as bad as they say. Now, I'm not saying there wasn't some bad stuff happening - I wasn't there so I don't know. BUT there are those who attended who say that they were not forced to attend & actually are glad that they did.

So, who is right? People that say their relatives had reported that they suffered a lot OR those who attended that say it wasn't as bad as they say it was. Will we EVER get this right? Will we EVER be able to get politics out of this whole scene so we can put things to rest? I don't know the answer, but this "blaming" and laws against expressing ones opinion has got to stop.
I personally know several people that were in residential schools. They are all late 50s to early 70s time frame. The best answer I can come up with is that it totally depended on who was in control at specific schools and at what time. None that I know admit to sexual abuse, but discipline was often harsh. OTH I attended public schools in that time and discipline was often harsh there as well. Sexual abuse happened there as well.

You mean. . . it depended largely upon the personalities of the staff members and the quality of the leadership?

But. . . but. . . that's really hard to fit on a protest sign!
