I met a girl in rehab. She'd been doing crack for a very long time, had AIDS, Hep C and two heart attacks. She wouldn't say her age. It was up to me to guess. I thought I was being generous in saying 38 because she looked into her forties. She was 27.

I know a 40-year-old alcoholic who looks mid-fifties.

It's weird how addiction makes people look the same. You can tell an advanced addict by how they look. Sunken cheeks, hallowed eyes. I've met a few people who look like they just missed that bullet. But there is a similarity in looks after awhile.

Wow! I only watched the first two (I just ate about an hour ago, and I don't want to get my stomach churning), but it is amazing how much damage these drugs do! Face #2, Cynthia, was a very pretty girl when she was first arrested. Now she just looks like a haggard old woman!8O
