Re: Turkey deploys jets, troops to Syrian border

Yeah, TB is just a wannabe American, living in Canada and trolling. 19 yrs old to maybe 24 yrs old at best.
Close. I'm a brain in a jar on the desk of a research biologist in Gatineau. All part of the great Canadian health care system.

Precisely. So what do we lose by not having "the world's" backing? A German K-9 unit, a Polish water-treatment truck, a Japanese hospital ship, and two Mounties in a canoe.

Big fat hairy deal.
Just remember those Mounties will be armed with slingshots and bear spray!

And I didn't threaten a Canadian invasion. I just said that if we need Canada, we'll take it.
Oh please, have at it. I've been itching to put some weaponry to better use than target shooting.

Nah, throughout life I've found that 99% of the time the simple answer is usually the correct one! Sure there's people who will go out of their way to fool you, but they are generally found out sooner than later!

There's nothing simpler than conspiracy my friend. It is the ultimate short cut, the stitch in time that saves nine, the irrefutable logic of successful crime.

Video: Syrian Rebels Torch Church In Ancient Christian Village…

Amazing to think the U.S. government is on the same side as these people.

Only one who arrives late would be amazed, many millions of people expect it as a simple matter of historical fact. It is impossible to form an empire without the employ of exactly that sort of person. The worst specimins occupy the most luxurious offices. Don't be too impressed by the beasts of the fields.

I don't care what party's in power, I just wanna get this war going.

And you still don't know what "proxy" means.

When did the war stop that it needs to be got going again? You've been sleeping haven't you?

In the CBS interview, Assad said his forces were not in the area of the
chemical weapons attack Aug. 21, saying “our soldiers in another area were
attacked chemically.

“But in the area where they said the government used chemical weapons, we
only had video and we only have pictures and allegations. We're not
there.”

From the Assad interview with Charlie Rose.. actually i tend to believe this. The rebels were the only side with any incentive to use chemical weapons on civilians.. and have been at the forefront of using terror as their military prospects have declined. There are certainly no shortage of souces of these weapons for the rebels.. be it former Syrian military defectors or various regimes that support Islamic jihadists, which now inundate the anti-Assad forces.

It's hard to believe what a fiasco Obama and crew.. especially Kerry are turning this into. Begging for support for a course of action they have already decided to embark on.. with absolutely no proof (just their 'word').. no tangible objective (just a 'message'..by way of one of all time least effective measures to send one) .. and no prospects of tangibly altering the course of the Syrian Civil War... WITHOUT.. a massive escalation of air resources.. and Boots on the ground. It borders on lunacy.

The only conceivable reason for this as a strategic strike is to use it to pivot in enough force to reverse the tide of the War... which means it will not be in anyway 'limited'.. which would prove to be another embarrasment to the Obama administration... but 'sufficient' and therefor massive enough to completely disrupt Syrian military operations.. not just their supposed chemical capability.

I think the people living here at the time would disagree with you. One thing is for sure, the War of 1812 certainly coalesced a Canadian consciousness.

Even today the focal point of Canadian consciousness is not oriented toward who Canadians are, but on who Canadians aren't. Anti-Americanism is a weak reed on which to rest.

I agree, there is nothing simpler.

"For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong." - H.L. Mencken

To me, conspiracy theories are kind of like intelligent design theories. People look at human beings and the worlkd around us and say "look at the breathtaking beauty adn staggering intricacy of it all. Clearly there must of been some mind behind this." Whereas thsoe subscribing to Darwin's Theory of Evolution would say that it all just came about due to a bunch random adn unpredicatble things driven above all not by some Intelligent Designer, but the tendency of small snippets of genetic material to reproduce themselves.

Most conspiracies, in my opinion, can be adequately explained by individuals seeking to maximize their own interests, without any grand plan.

All one needs to do is look at the map to see where all this is going. The list of nations in the region either occupied or controlled by or allied with the US is:

  • Lybia
  • Egypt
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Qatar
  • Kuwait
  • Iraq
  • Turkey
  • Israel
  • Afghanistan
  • Pakistan
  • Jordan

So basically the only 3 nations in the middle east not under the control of the US are Lebanon, Syria and Iran. It has been an imperialistic plan from the start beginning with the staging of supposed terrorist attacks on 9/11 which allowed the propaganda machine to bring consensus of the people for illegal wars and invasions and a sacrifice of our rights in the name of freedom & democracy.

Re: War-monger Prez goes on offense

The whole world laughs at American confusion and irresolution.

The world was laughing long ago... the NSA debacle surely didn't win them any new friends and bringing down of a presidential plane of a sovereign nation, that just put icing on the cake..

The Internet and media is allowing people to see just how arrogant the USA is..

Re: Syria welcomes Russian plan to turn in its chemical weapons

Nope, still gotta punish 'em.

Which will result in retaliation and American lives lost.. another Benghazi

...and being that 90% of the USA does not want this - Obama's loss is appeal.

Re: Syria welcomes Russian plan to turn in its chemical weapons

(Prior to) After Kerry's "unbelievably small" comment and one-week ultimatim (which is, well, unbelievable). We see this:
Syria welcomes a Russian proposal to place the nation's chemical weapons under international control, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem said on Monday after talks in Moscow, praising the Kremlin for seeking to "prevent American aggression".
The Russians, showing the world what tools Obama and the US regime are.
Update: Nevermind, it was rhetorical, we still want to go to war!

Don't need 'em.

By the way, do you think this little Russia/Syria lovefest would have occurred without the U.S. threat?
