This month, the RCMP unveiled the Tesla Model Y as the first EV to be added to the Mounties’ vehicle fleet, with tests of the electric Ford Mustang Mach-E and the Ford F-150 coming soon.

So this should end well.....

What’s the issue? It’s not mentioned…just batteries. That is all.

Li-ion and Lipo batteries have "very energetic thermal reactions' compared to older styles, if there's a problem at all with the batteries i would imagine they were concerned about them being a little too explody.

While automakers worldwide are gearing up to sell millions of new all-electric vehicles in the years ahead, many customers are sticking with conventional and hybrid vehicles because of concerns about the high cost of repairs when batteries fail.

After diagnostic checks, he said technicians determined the battery needed to be replaced.

The quoted cost, including the battery, installation and taxes came to more than $50,000.

There won't be a "used EV" market. Legislation will hit just like China where cars that hit 5 years old get mandatory recycled.

What is a circular economy?

The circular economy is an economic model that stresses the importance of maximizing resource use and the lifecycle of products, with emphasis on integrating these concerns at the product design phase. This is in contrast to the ‘linear economy,’ where resources are extracted to make single-use products or products that are disposed after use.

What does that mean? New cars must made of 90% old cars. This will cap the number of vehicles on the road.

Buy an electric Moskvich(Москвич) today and if work hard you might get your number drawn in the car lotto 10 years from now.
