The predominant theory of scientists and astronomers about the origin of the planets is not logical and in fact is imaginary.
Astronomers postulate that the planets were formed some billions of years ago in a solar nebula: debris, rocks and gases collected then small objects (planetesimls) were formed, then by accretion they were converted into planets.

But the explanation given by the Quran interpreter is better and more logical:
The previous sun --> cooled and had a thin crust --> the crust imprisoned the hot gases emerging from that sun (which by now has converted into an earth) --> the pressure inside that sun/earth increased --> it burst into nine pieces or more --> the pieces were attracted by the nearest sun (our present sun) and they orbited around it.

And because they were very hot, they started also to spin around themselves --> the edges and protrusions separated to form the moons of those planets.
And as such the present solar system was created.
