Northern Ontario,
I wish some people would learn to use the quote function.......
When someone is being quoted in sections .......I sometimes like to refer back to the original post to reread the original direction of the post as a whole....and it is almost impossible to find the original with a quote that is just in different colour...:angryfire:

Quoting multiple messages seems to be beyond some people

and breaking up messages into multiple quotations with message reference, well, that is just asking WAY too much for most of this crowed.

I used to do that, until I realized that it was essentially straw manning a person.

Is it possible to cross thread quote here?

Since so many regular threads get inundated with people belittling each other and name calling, I think it's best just to have a dedicated thread for that. So fly at it here.

CDN Bear has that mastered. No matter how many quotes he uses, and with more than one person being quoted, he still manages to make them readable.

Northern Ontario,
It's nice when a thread has been running for days to be able to verify a quote that happened days before without having to reread the whole thread.......that's why I usually skip over color coded quotes posts without reading...(to much trouble to verify)...If it is too much trouble for someone to quote properly.....It's not worth reading....

...but he's already admitted he's here to be annoying so why bother anyhow? I think he just gets off on abuse....

At times I am tempted to quote people but change their words slightly for fun.

I agree with much of that. I mean if someone puts in the effort I can too but some days.

It should be the message not how it's put together, but there has to be some measure of order to it.
