The only real surprise is just how quickly Liberal promises crumbled

You needn't look further than trudeau Sr... We are (literally) still paying down that debt

Yes we are, along with the $300 billion Mulroney added to the debt and the $140 billion Harper added to it. If fact when Trudeau senior left office the ratio of debt to GDP was about 25%. When Mulroney left office it was about 70% and at the end of the Harper era it is now 86%.

What a bunch of baloney.

The Conservatives are all over the damn map when it comes to the Liberals' Syrian refugee program. Switching every few seconds between berating the Liberals for allowing anyone from a predominantly country into Canada at all, and then in the next breath berating the Liberals for not taking Syrian refugees in quickly enough, is ridiculous. The Government, itself, let us know as soon as that target appeared impossible, and revised the plan accordingly.

And at no point has the Government accused everyday Canadians of being racist for saying that it was not possible to bring 25,000 Syrian refugees onto Canadian soil by the end of the calendar year. However, if there were accusations that a xenophobic and Islamophobic sect of the Conservative Party is racist for scaring some Canadians into thinking that Syrian refugees are coming to Canada to blow things up, then yeah, "racist" probably fits.

I don't give fiddlers frap if they make their quota or not. I'm wondering when the Liberal version of GW Bush is going to get about stimulating the economy as he promised. Or is he just going to blow money on other people?

It's been less than a month and a half since he officially became Prime Minister and the Liberals became the governing party. The House has sat for a total of 7 days since he became Prime Minister. That is hardly time to be able to address everything and definitely not enough time to address something as complicated as our economy.

Or would you rather some half cocked plan be implemented just so it can be said he has "addressed" the economy?

It was PET who started the ball rolling by starting social programs that grew and became more costly every year. Enacting French as an official language was just one that has cost billions and continues to be a drain on the economy. There was the changeover to the metric system which cost billions in manufacturing, small businesses and private lives to change all equipment, tools etc; harmful to the economy. Once PET's 'dreams' were put into reality the die was set to cost more every year than Canada could afford, thus the large debt and deficits.
Rich people in power, to them money grows on trees! They never had to scrimp and scrape for a living like the common people. Now JT's carrying on the madness in a grander scale than ever.
