Chocking on your tongue?
Is that chocking as in something to stop the wheels from rolling or choking as in strangulation. Sucks when you boo-boo in calling-boo-boos-to-attention mode
Chocking on your tongue?
...the amount of mindless bleating about Trudeau breaking promises, after the House of Commons has sat for a whopping seven business days
And yet he's managed to accomplish so much in the promise-breaking dept in such a short time.
... It's gotta be some kind of record
If you're surprised by that, you haven't been following Canadian politics for the last 30 years.
...the amount of mindless bleating about Trudeau breaking promises, after the House of Commons has sat for a whopping seven business days, is pretty amusing. There is only one promise that this Government has broken so far, and that is welcoming 25,000 Syrian refugees before the end of the calendar year. A federal budget has not even been tabled. The only financial decisions this Government has passed so far are to reduce the middle-class tax rate from 22% to 20.5%, and to introduce a new tax rate of 33% for folks making $200,000 or more per year. Two more promises kept.
Keep on keeping on, Mr. Trudeau.
Keep up the blind faith FiveP... Some one has to
I think you are half right- the other half is Justin is not terribly good at listening, he's trying to be all things to all people and he is on a very fast "learning curve". I'm not sure that "promises kept" can be counted if they are running us into unrecoverable debt. I think he possibly put winning the election above thinking things out more carefully and studying what we be the best for everyone in the long run.![]()

McCallum to update on Syrian refugee program today. 9 days until yr end. Less than 20 % of promised 10K refugees have arrived.
shiny
Not so much blind faith, as it is just looking at this Government's record since they took office.
If we want to talk about "unrecoverable debt," let's look to a few years under the Conservatives:
Conbots disappointed about a promise they don't want kept.
Conbots disappointed about a promise they don't want kept.
Surprised when they are never taken seriously.

Let's give that a real hard look, actually.
Promises completed

Cancelling the Northern Gateway Pipeline shouldn't count as a promise.
If we want to talk about "unrecoverable debt," let's look to a few years under the Conservatives:
But that $160 billion that the Conservatives added to the debt... that's not "unrecoverable," right?
- 2006: $13.8 billion (inherited from the Liberals)
- 2007: $9.6 billion
- 2008: ($5.8 billion) (uh-oh)
- 2009: ($55.6 billion) (holy sh*t)
- 2010: ($33.3 billion) (well, that's not balanced at all)
- 2011: ($26.2 billion) (oh dear)
- 2012: ($25.9 billion) (is it recoverable now?)
- 2013: ($18.9 billion) (that's basically balanced, right?)
- 2014: ($16.6 billion) (um...)
