Of course not. Do you know what a permanent structure is?

Are you aware that a modular home placed on a foundation and a trailer are not the same thing? I mean even a farm labourer should understand that simple concept...even a high one.

Of course I do. Trailers have basements these days too. As for townhouses your unit is only worth what your neighbours invest in upkeep of theirs.

You have a point?

Yes, townhouses hold their value better than trailers. I'm not surprised I had to repeat it for you. You must be really high today.

And that fits into what how? Do I care? So again I ask "do you have a point?"

There is nothing wrong with a trailer. It's trailer parks.

Keep up FFS.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with trailers. If that's the best you can do, good on you...and there are some nice trailer parks. Keep up FFS

My preference is a condo.. 817 15 Avenue SW, Calgary, AB. ;)

Security, every room with a view.. no lawn care, leaves or snow to clean.. if you can afford it. ;)

Easy walk to the park and river.. under ground parking.

Nothing wrong with living in a trailer. We were trailer dwellers for 12 years! And possibly will be again.

I never said there was anything wrong with a trailer.

They're kinda cool.

Yeah, the top third of his head! :) :) :) :)

Putz knows a lot about poor life choices but he knows S.F.A. about good life choices! I lived in my first trailer for 7 years because I bought it with the money I had in my pocket & then I upgraded to better trailer for 5 more years all the time saving money for a house. God knows how many dollars I saved in Mortage payments at 21% interest. Like I pointed out earlier he only does himself harm when he opens his big trap.

You have to pity him....he can't help being a Jerk....

And also too stupid to realize it! :) :)

Alberta economy drives layoff insurance

Who says the oilsands can't create jobs in other sectors lol

Alberta economy drives layoff insurance

With thousands of layoffs in and related to Alberta's energy industry, one Alberta company is hoping to help, and cash in.

An Edmonton-based company is now offering standalone layoff insurance for hourly and salaried employees who are laid off, for roughly $50 per person for an average-sized mortgage, said Gordon McCallum, president of First Foundation.

"We would prefer it if there was no need for this type of coverage, but the slowing Alberta economy, the low price of oil, and the rising unemployment rate have all led to high demand for this product," he said.

The insurance covers six months of mortgage payments and is not taxable.

This type of insurance is sometimes offered by mortgage underwriters but to McCallum's knowledge, not as a standalone product that can be transferred if a property owner transfers a mortgage between financial institutions.

The company says job loss is one of the most common reasons for mortgage default.

Re: Alberta economy drives layoff insurance

We already have that, it's call Unemployment Insurance.

If you actually had a job Flossy, you'd see the government takes it off your pay check - you know when you actually get paid for working.

As far as paying off a mortgage or automobile, generally when you buy a house or car, insurance is offered by the lender, if you're unable to work because of illness, injury and loss of employment.

I'm not surprised to see a progressive gloating and revelling in the misery of others. How sad.

Poor Alberta.

If only they were more like Ontario, they could have avoided this.

Does it look like that's the worse scenario?
