So? George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were slave owners. Is anybody but the ultra-loony fringe trying to take down their statues?

Damn, you sure get all moistened up for people who committed treason so they could keep their slaves. And lost.

Not me. It's just that the Confederacy were our allies and all ......

All statues should be removed, and in particular the symbols of slavery; how do they claim about freedom and they keep the statues of slavery!?

Most African slaves came from countries that were practising slavery long before evil Whitey came along and enslaved them. And even when evil Whitey countries like Britain (the first country in the world, white or black, to permanently abolish it) abolished slavery, these African nations were still practising it. And if you did your own research, you will see that the people of Britain and Ireland in the 17th Century had major problems with African slavers who arrived on their shores and took away many of their people as slaves. It's funny how this is barely mentioned nowadays, though.

You ( and all the religious, generally ) have a god that tells you what to do ( or there might be consequences!)...and you point at other's conceptions of slavery?

Yup, some boats showed up with some boxes of cheap crap they couldn't sell at home and said,
"What have you got to trade?"
So the sailors passed by the fried ants, clay pots and the fish gut sauce spreaders and moved onto more useful items...
Of course the the ones not lucky enough to have slaves to sell may have got eaten...
Just ask Columbus...say...they gonna trash his city or what?

A ship going to Africa to buy slaves carried a large cargo of mixed goods, such as cotton, brass pans and guns. These were exchanged for enslaved Africans, who were shipped across the Atlantic Ocean to north and south America and the Caribbean.

The trade goods used for buying enslaved Africans were often produced and sold locally around Bristol. Pictured here is an entry in the catalogue of stock in a Bristol shop selling cutlery and hardware, it reads ‘Articles suitable to the African Trade’.

so they were already slaves

You know McCain is a globalist anti Trumper, and was considered to be also a traitor by many during the Vietnam war?

"America’s Other Original Sin
Europeans didn’t just displace Native Americans—they enslaved them, and encouraged tribes to participate in the slave trade, on a scale historians are only beginning to fathom."
Native American slavery: Historians uncover a chilling chapter in U.S. history.

"Pre-contact forms of slavery were generally distinct from the form of chattel slavery developed by Europeans in North America during the colonial period.[1] European influence greatly changed slavery used by Native Americans. As they raided other tribes to capture slaves for sales to Europeans, they fell into destructive wars among themselves, and against Europeans."

Yup, considering some of the more holy then thou types around here don't even know their own history.

"1842 Slave Revolt in the Cherokee Nation

The 1842 Slave Revolt in the Cherokee Nation, then located in Indian Territory (Oklahoma) west of the Mississippi River, was the largest escape of a group of slaves to occur among the Cherokee. The slave revolt started on November 15, 1842, when a group of 20 African-American slaves owned by the Cherokee escaped and tried to reach Mexico, where slavery had been abolished in 1836. Along their way south, they were joined by 15 slaves escaping from the Creek in Indian Territory."https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1842_Slave_Revolt_in_the_Cherokee_Nation

Reagan was president in the 1990's? You know, because that's when the Taliban were formed but whatever. The picture you posted is President Ronald Reagan meeting with Afghan Mujahideen leaders in the Oval Office in 1983.

Nice try though.

Sorry you're not as free to express your white supremacy as you were back in the day.

Let us know if you ever find your balls.
I found them on your chin, asshole.

"Back in the day" I would have been oppressed by "old stock Canadians" but that's okay, I don't need it as an excuse or pity card like some.

They are history, what they did be it good or bad is history it will never change.

How is erasing Buddhism coming along for Afghanistan?

OK, I'm with you. Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, and Stonewall Jackson were right. They were heroes. They should have won. Human slavery is a good thing, and should have continued.

That's the history presented by the statues. And because there's statues, that must be the true and immutable word of history. Any questioning of the Confederates makes you the Taliban.

And putting Ukrainian Canadians in concentration camps was the right thing to do, because they're traitorous scum who can't be trusted.

Look at what we have here. Our two most hateful posters towards white people are teaming up in their hatred of white people. Why am i not even surprised of the racism these two display every day

Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, and Stonewall Jackson did get part of what they wanted that still exists today.Stuffs that created unity issues as early as 1792 and almost had New England opt for secession in 1812.

Interstate trade, State Rights and Property Rights.

As for Ukr internment, it's all good. We got credit for building a cool National Park and a statue in the park. How cool is that but far from what I'm talkingStuufs ?
