My guess is there were many more incidents of this nature that has taken place in both Iraq and Afghanistan....its just that they have remained secret, protected by thier fellow comrades and thier superiors. It only comes to light when the very rare soldier cannot live with what goes on and reveals to the world the actions of his fellow soldiers (if you can call them soldiers). Like the Nazis, they were likely just `following orders`. As well, when we have a yellow-bellied media that will rarely follow up on such crimes...or even report such crimes to its populace once caught, then those perpetrators feel they have full reign in committing war-crimes. They see thier presidents and members of congress enact and carry out war-crimes against innocent populations and in turn, held high on a pedestal, write books about and paid millions to speak for years afterwards.
God bless America?
I think not.
