I haven't given up on him yet. I'm hoping he takes a sextant and compass reading a gets back on course. Trump is anything but predictable and he not an ideologue.
You remind me of the guy who fell off the roof of a 20-storey building. Witnesses on each floor report hearing him say. . .

So far, so good. . .

So far, so good. . .

So far, so good. . .

You're anticipating the 'splat' at the end. We aren't there yet. People count the Donald out at their peril.

Coldstream still believes Trump was chosen by God.

No such thing.. i believe that Christian nationalism, a reestablishment of the basic structures of Western Civilization, is the only force that will keep us from a New Dark Age, which we are hurtling towards with breathtaking speed.

I supported Trump because he was a nationalist in his economic platform and populist in his social programs. I knew he wasn't a professing Christian. My support of Trump was solely on the basis of policy, not personality. If the policy goes, so will my support.

You mean like an age in which amoral adulterers can use the rhetoric of hate to get people to follow them?

I supported Trump because he was a nationalist in his economic platform and populist in his social programs.. I knew he wasn't a Christian in any sort of professional standing. My support of Trump was solely on the basis of policy.. not personality. If the policy goes, so will my support.
And as I've pointed out, and as conservative columnist Jennifer Rubin pointed out today, you got took, chump.

Oh?
Trump at age 70 has taken on the mantle of God's candidate.

Is lying a sin? Maybe the reason why Trump (God) has forsaken you is that you're a liar.

Not to the best of my knowledge, except in specific circumstances, like bearing false witness against your neighbor (I suppose bearing false witness against somebody that lives in another neighborhood's OK).

It's also not a crime, again except in specific circumstances, like perjury or fraud.

What a terrible thing to say about coldstream! He's no narcissist, just a terrified old man clinging to the throwback wing of the Catholic church and looking forward to a day when burning heretics and slaughtering pagans comes back into fashion.

OK, so if lying is not a sin claiming Trump is God's candidate is blasphemy if it's not true and blasphemy to deny if it is true. Coldstream has simultaneously said Trump is God's candidate and denied it, so regardless of whether Trump is God's candidate, Coldstream best get himself to a confessional.

"Kim Jong Don" is my sarcastical reference to Donald John Trump, President of the United States of America. The leader of North Korea is Kim Jong Un. Please note that "Don" is a common nickname or contraction for "Donald."

In addition to being bat-shit crazy, you are breathtakingly stupid, you know that?
I think you have reached the limit that fire-water will take you. Now put some fentenyl in your peace pipe and suck real long and hard. Have a mediocre day.

There is nothing in the bible that says the world is in good graces with God. America should consider closing her borders for people coming in and those trying to leave.

Trump was speaking with Fox Business about the bizarre exchange with Chinese leader during a summit at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
We had finished dinner, we’re now having dessert,” Trump began. “And we had the most beautiful piece of chocolate cake that you’ve ever seen and President Xi was enjoying it.
We’ve just fired 59 missiles, all of which hit by the way, unbelievable, from hundreds of miles away, it’s brilliant, it’s genius, what we have in terms of technology no-one can come close to competing,” he continued.
So I said, we’ve just launched 59 missiles, heading to Iraq,” said the President, seemingly oblivious to his mistake.

Here's a pretty good roundup of Kim Jong Don's lies and flip-flops. And it's only Day 84!

I think Trump lies the most when he's in a sympathetic interview. That interviewer gushed over Trump almost as much as Trump gushes over himself. You can see the Trumpian mechanics in his speech when he speaks with someone who gives him the adoration he seeks. It wasn't so much that he remembered the cake more than the country he bombed. It's that the bombing isn't as important as his self-aggrandizement. So he had to brag pointlessly about the cake, like how a frat boy takes about how drunk he was last weekend. He bragged pointlessly about the accuracy of the weapons, like he needs to promote them. He later clearly made up the Chinese president's reaction:

"He [Xi] paused for 10 seconds and then he asked the interpreter to please say it again. I didn't think that was a good sign,” said Trump. “And he said to me, anybody that uses gases - you could almost say or anything else - but anybody that was so brutal and uses gases to do that young children and babies, it's OK.”

Funny how the way Trump describes Xi's words sound exactly like Trump's or made up as he was telling the story to make it sound better. Everything he says is meant to validate himself.
