Trump t o increase military spending.
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-39108194#"

He also plans to give law enforcement added tools to fight crime What is not known is just what type of tools will be added to the law enforcement tool bag......and what will be changed t give the police more "latitude"...

Slippery slopes?? or does it matter to the Trumpians?? This raises many questions as to just how this will unfold. "EXTREME Law and Order"??? can take many forms as history has shown. The difference is that the Police have access to some fancy gadgets that can cross over into abuse but as usual: Many of these extreme measures are branded " done-in self defense " of the cops doing it. Xtreme law and order lens itself well to a dictator-wanna be.

Hopefully there are enough checks and balances to counter this .potential.

No mention on US media about the numbers of Americans crossing into Canada now. Just ask Manitoba for one...

the ripple effect of Trumpian regime is just starting to girgle up with more to come..
I don't believe those are Americans crossing into Manitoba . All the Hollywood stars that were moving to Canada were still in L.A. up until at least last night .

Who do you think they are?? and should they all be sent right back to the US. There are others coming via Quebec and BC borders. Are you saying that the Illegals in the US are the ones crossing into Canada?? That could certainly be the case. They are not coming through the regular border crossings. ..

Yes and they are not American citizens , if they were they would have been escorted right back to the nearest border crossing . We will pay for their airfare to their home country however .

It has to be remembered that most of those expounding on the inadequacies of "W" weren't the brightest candles on the cake themselves!

That is assuming that you have some sort of accurate experiential reference to judge what is "bright" and what is not.

You are very nice.

Seems that a plane fare back to their country of origin is still less expensive than supporting them on our welfare / social programs as technically they are unemployable ..

So US citizens seeking asylum here in CDA are sent right back when they cross into CDA??? Good to know. Thx.

Trump.who is a ratings fanatic.......well his ratings at historic low. The positive is that they are going in the right direction...lower.

Trump Approval Rating at Historic Low - The Daily Beast

OK...cudos where theya re due.: Trump actually admitted that the health care system that he wanted to demolish and replace..is "very complicated". Now that is going some from someone who "knows everything". This is the FIST comment from him that actually made sense and was close to being sane.

Funny I just saw a completely different result on t.v. I guess it is all in how it is worded .

I wonder if the Trumpites will get all snifty sniff because he's backtracking on another promise. Trump's economic policies like more and more like Trudeau's everyday. He backtracks almost as good too

He's going to increase defence spending by 10%, spend billions/trillions on infrastructure projects (how many construction industry plutocrats are there in his inner circle?), do the good Republican thing and cut the taxes on rich people even more, cut business taxes, and all of THAT is going to improve the lot of his angry, suffering Middle Class voter support base (who carry the heaviest tax burden) .... somehow ...

Maybe, we'll ask one of those average Americans in his administration, how he'll do it ... except that there aren't any. Apparently, "draining the swamp" consisted of shifting Middle Class Americans out of governance.

When were middle class Americans in government , why do you think middle class Americans gave the presidency to Trump ? Maybe because he promised to do all he is doing . Did you think he was kidding like our pols do ?

The United States hasn't seen a rich, crony White House and cabinet like this one since the days of Hurbert Hoover. There is hardly anybody there who is a "self made man", let alone one who went to a public high school.

Of course he was lying through his teeth. There are trillions to be harvested from the American public.

So you have already decided that every one he surrounds himself with and every piece of legislation he tries to enact will be wrong and can never work . Optimistic sort aren't you .

I never thought that I would live long enough to see a fascist demagogue successfully hijack the American democracy and lie, cheat his way into power. I feel that those of us who are not blithering idiots have a moral obligation to stop this monster. Eighty years ago, we failed to, until it was too late. We shan't make the same mistake twice.

What exactly has he done to deserve the term "monster"?

Is that any relative of Herbert Hoover?
