Thank God you're in China and not polluting any "western" countries.

If you break the Nature Law, you will lose your identification of western.

Hitler and Duke were protecting the Nature law from USSR and the racialism.

and how do you figure dukes or Hitler lived/lives Hobbes interpretation of "natural law". Most of Hobbes 19 natural laws have been or were broken by both men and their actions. I say that you really don't have a clue what Aristotle, Thomas Aquinas, or Hobbes were talking about when referring to "natural laws".

and one other thing. You are not dealing with some dirt poor peasant, most of us on this board have quite extensive educations both in and out of post secondary institutions.

The nature laws are base of human societies. Freedom is not free. Freedom base on the equilibration among people. Society contract could be done by the equilibration. Societet contract are the soul of western society. Other place in the earth have no such things.People who fight with you have abandoned the contract and become your enemy. USSR have no freedom and no society contract. USSR was not a civilian society in nature law's standard. Hitler was protecting european from USSR's invasion. But allies accepted the savage USSR to beat a civilized Germany for a fuuny reason.

Hindsight is 20/20, especially when it comes to second guessing the harrowing decisions that have to be made during wartime. But sometimes we have to be critical, if we hope to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past. With that in mind, here are the most egregious blunders made by the Western Allies during the Second World War.

A few caveats before we get started. I'm not going to include the blunders made by the Western Powers leading up to the war, nor am I going to include the mistakes made by the Russians (who were technically part of the grand alliance). Those both deserve lists of their own.

Also, I don't mean to pick on the Allies, here. Axis forces were equally blunderous — if not more so — than their enemies, especially after Hitler took command of the German army in December 1941. But as already noted, it's still worthwhile to be critical of the victorious forces.

Why dwell on this sh*t? The world has evolved so far there isn't a ghost of a chance we are ever going to be confronted with the exact same situation again anyway.

10. The greatest betrayal of the war was the British refusal to support the Americans at the Battle of Midway despite the request for the participation of one of the British carriers stationed at Madagascar at the old French naval base. The British didn't have enough faith in the Americans.

The Brits weren't even in play during Midway. And besides they would have just gotten in the way.

The Battle of Midway was an incredible victory for the Americans.

P.S. British women generally lack a great deal when it comes to beauty and virtue.

So true. Let's not forget their willingness to pleasure N. Americans with such eagerness.

I have a question about WW2,. Why USA support the evil Stalin to win the civilized Germany? Just because of jewish concentration camps of Germany? But more concention camps made by Stalin in USSR land and more people dead as slaves in gulag, and why USSR was friends of USA?

If the goal of WW2 was liberating the people under NAZI,why USA didnot liberate the people under USSR? the people under NAZI were more valuable than under USSR?

NAZI were bad. NAZI were evil. everything done by NAZI are wrong. But NAZI did not declare war on British and French insdead been declared. Concentration camps are just excuses. WW2 was just another battle for supremacy in european like Napoleon did.

You needed your butts saved... and we did it.

The British Empire freed Europe whilst you lot were just busy shagging our women and barring your black soldiers from our pubs. We were fighting whilst your lot were shagging and drinking.

How is this something to be proud of? You supposedly came over here to fight for freedom, yet you called out the MPs whenever British barmaids served American black soldiers in pubs (African American soldiers were freer in Britain than they were in America).

The Yanks did the same in Australia too. It's not only the British who still look back with anger at what the Yanks got up to in their country whilst our own boys were busy fighting. The Australians didn't look too lightly on what your soldiers were getting up to whilst their soldiers were FIGHTING.

Thanksgiving and the Battle of Brisbane

Posted on 28/11/2013

Growing up in Brisbane as a baby boomer, I always knew something about the Battle of Brisbane. It was part of the rich soup of stories we grew up in: the impact of the Pacific War, the rationing, the American presence and how this sometimes led to fights between Australian soldiers and the Americans – ‘overpaid, oversexed and over here’.

Some of the stories were funny. Here’s an American account of one:
Many Australian troops returning home resented the Americans. Dell Brooks [a submariner from the Seahorse] encountered that resentment in a theater in Brisbane showing Walt Disney’s 1942 animated classic, Bambi. In one segment, Bambi cries out, “Mommy, mommy, where are you?” From the balcony came a voice, “She’s out with some damn Yank; where do you think she’s at?”
Others were serious. On 26 November 1942, a group of drunken Australian servicemen attacked the American canteen (PX) on the corner of Creek and Adelaide Streets in the city. By 8:30 that evening, perhaps 3000 or 4000 solders were involved in the brawl. Unlike their (tougher?) Australian counterparts, the American military police were armed and shots were fired. As official historian Dudley McCarthy commented laconically in 1959,
It is probably a fair generalisation to say that in the United States the display of batons and firearms in the hands of police is an effective way of quieting a riot whereas in Australia it is an effective way of starting one.
One Australian soldier was shot dead, and a number were wounded, while others were badly beaten with batons. The affair became known as ‘the Battle of Brisbane’. Largely hushed up at the time, it became a notorious part of Brisbane’s folklore, and historians have studied it many times since.

USSR was weak before WW2,but USA supported USSR to become a superpower stronger than NAZI. Is there anything more stupid than this? Half world dropped into the red evil empire. The costs are more than 1 billion people become slaves, and more than 100 million people dead. How compare The jewish camps and the cost?

We were shagging your women AND winning the war. That's why Eisenhower bumped Monty... the little aristocrat knew very little about fighting a war... Market Garden can attest to that.

Your men were too soft and boring... just plain weak all around. No wonder why the English ladies preferred N. Americans over stuffy weak brits.

And we saved Australia as well. Your navy was nowhere to be found and too busy chasing German battleships. Geez... sending the whole Brit navy after one battleship and that is what they needed to sink it.

Yes, the radical press is being persecuted and prosecuted. Case in point is The Radical Press web site.

In the 90s I was involved in an environmental website. We discovered that CSIS was downloading the site every other day and our advertising supporters were visited and threatened by goons and my friend was threatened with having his legs broken. Since then I have taken a different approach to radicalism, one that doesn't involve violence or threats of violence.

CSIS threatened to break your friend's legs??

That is the inference of your post.

Quite frankly, I don't believe it.

More likely some oil workers.

And I assume you wanted your newsletter read, so what if CSIS reads it??

Yes... if they supported the Germans over the Soviets. That would have been more stupid.

I hear you on Communism... but to look to Nazi's and racist supremacist groups as an alternative. That is nuts. And David Dukes... Seriously? Do you think they would want you, a Chinese person, in the KKK? You as an Asian are an enemy of these people.

Yeah, that F**king Charles looks like a prime example!

Absolutely... and he will be their King one day! No wonder why his mom won't step down. She has more b*lls than he does.

Long live the Queen of Ugly!
