Ontario Adds 34,700 Jobs in September

Employment in Ontario increased by 34,700 in September, the third straight month of job gains, and the unemployment rate fell to 5.6 per cent, the lowest level since July 2000.

Employment in Ontario is up 169,500 year-over-year. The province's unemployment rate has been below the national average for 30 consecutive months.

The employment increase included gains in sectors suchas wholesale and retail trade, and manufacturing.

According to the 2017-18 First Quarter Finances, Ontario is on track to balance the budget this year while making investments in the programs and services people and their families rely on most.

Building on this strong economic momentum, Ontario is taking historic action to create more opportunity and security for workers with a plan for Fair Workplaces and Better Jobs. This includes hiking the minimum wage, ensuring part-time workers are paid the same hourly wage as full-time workers, introducing paid sick days for every worker and stepping up enforcement of employment laws.

Supporting Ontario workers and businesses is part of our plan to create jobs, grow our economy and help people in their everyday lives.

That tater tot wants to attack by treating employee discounts similar to a taxable benefit. Naturally this will hit the workers in the wholesale and retail trades pretty hard. Plus add even more paperwork for those business owners who will have to keep track of all that shit.
Assuming of course that the OP is indeed factual. Which then begs the question, what the f*ck have the Liberals been doing since 2003 then? The "problems" they are allegedly solving have been around since Day 1 of the Liberal reign in Ontario. Not to mention the problems they themselves created. Stripping regions, cities, towns, counties and townships of any avenue to reject placement of wind turbines. Turbines which also caused our hydro bills to skyrocket for no good reason.
It's taken them 14 years to finally "tackle" the "draconian" employment laws in Ontario and why? Because the Wynned sock's approval ratings were dropping faster than Bill Clinton's pants at an intern reunion.
The mincome idea is another wad of bullshit designed to make the Wynned sock look good for the coming election. $10/yr increases for those on ODSP but suddenly the govt has money to pay every adult MORE than a couple on ODSP currently receives? I call bullshit.

Everything about this McWynnty govt has been nothing but 100% bullshit. I swear to god that Ontario has the highest colo-rectal cancer rates in the world with all the smoke these Libtards have blown up our collective asses. Which is why I just can't buy the claim in the OP. Not even for a dollar.
