Where as for me, my reward is Jesus ...
This is the enthusiasm, and this is the top of enthusiasm; in fact it is more than idolatry; this is the association with God; you associate Jesus with God: you have made him an associate or partner with God concerning your servitude and glorification: that you serve Jesus as do you serve God the Creator, and you glorify Jesus as do you glorify God; this is contrary to the purpose of Jesus Christ that he invited people to God alone and considered the First Commandment as the most important of all the commandments: that is to serve God alone. This association with God will lead to complete loss in the next world; and even Jesus cannot save the associater who associates others with God.
You make no distinction between God and Jesus; while:
- God is the Creator, and Jesus is the created.
- God is the Eternal, Who does not die; while Jesus lived for many years like other prophets and like other people, then died, and his soul –like other prophets – went to the neighborhood of his Lord.
- God is not a son of man, while Jesus is a son of man, like other people.
- Jesus is an apostle or a messenger sent by God, and the apostle or the one sent is never greater than He that sends him.
- God does not eat and drink, while Jesus – like other people – ate food and drank water; the natural result of the eating food and drinking water is to pass bowel motion and urine: how can such man be a god?
- Jesus was born of a woman; while God was not begotten; He is the Eternal.
In Paradise, not only the physical pleasures are obtained; but the good pleasure of God. God – be glorified – said in the Quran 9: 72
The explanation: (God has [in the Quran] promised to the believers, [both] men and women, gardens [in the Hereafter] – below [the trees of ] which rivers flow, to dwell therein forever – and good dwellings in the seven gardens; and God's good pleasure will be [to them] greater [than the gardens]; that [prosperity and good pleasure] is [certainly] the great success [in the Hereafter.] )
Jesus and the rest of prophets desire and hope in having such good pleasure of God, and that God – be glorified – will be pleased with them.
