LW, thank you for this great opportunity to briefly explain my past and current view of the Canadian Federal Liberals….
The Liberals have a much stronger track record of acceptable performance than that of the Conservatives………that is fact…………..The Liberals have shown a much stronger financial management over the years, although it may be argued that they stole money from other programs in order to show a surplus, but if the Conservatives are soooooooooo much better then that of the Liberals why do they end up with deficits? They, short pay provincial loyalties or don't pay at all ..
The Liberals should not govern with out an opposition……………..we can not blame the liberals because, for 13 years the opposition was knocked out on the canvas and couldn’t get up and fight……………we must not blame the Liberals for that………but as we all know power corrupts, then the opposition was not on the job to oversee irregular activity amongst the only party of viability in the country………………………..That is why the Libs had they had a strong opposition during their 3 land slide victories, the sponsorship scenario would have never happened and probably knowing that Canada traditionally is a Liberal minded country the liberals could still be in power………………..

So ... how responsible was it to fund TWO rival trans-continental railroads to compete against the already federally-subsidized Canadian Pacific - then have to rescue both of them from bankruptcy after WW1? How responsible was it to commence with appeasement to a province who now holds an entire nation hostage? How responsible was it to enact an energy province that set another big chunk of this country on a course of separation?
See ... as much fault as we can easily find in the Conservative governments (by whichever flavour they choose to be) we can find just as much to fault your Liberals. Both are siphons to make the rich richer at the expense of the poor. Don't you think it's time for REAL change?
Your party doesn't care about you or me or lone wolf. The other guys as well. Voting is a waste of everyone's time. Your have a skewed view of what's really going on. If your party gets in, they will break their promises, and everyone will whine, and then we will wait to the next election, and the other guys will get in, they will screw up, everyone will whine, and then we wait to the next election, and somebody else convinces the masses ....etc....just like the complete history of democracy.

Oh ... voting is never a waste of time. It's the only day us little guys really matter. If one does't vote, then really one doesn't have a right to complain - and I do so love to bitch. In the end, all that really matters is getting out there and getting your name stroked off that list. How else will they know what they do matters to us? I've been given to writing "Mickey Mouse for Prez" on my ballot. A spoiled ballot counts. No vote is just apathy and we get what the no vote deserves....
But nothing never changes. What should do lonewolf? I would like to get involved but joining a party doesn't seem like a right fit. I like this party's policy but not this policy, I don't trust this guy, so what's the alternative? Stand in a public place and let loose with all that burns inside of me, or what?
Meh..I will go with NDP or Green Party. I will vote for Green Party 90% if they don't go on the debate.
I met Jack Layton last election, we chatted for about 5-10 minutes. He seems like a pretty down to earth guy. I'm down for giving him a shot. They would probably screw it up though.:smile:
