They're pretty sl*tty too from what I hear. Apparently most don't considder oral or anal sex as actual sex

Some people's children I tells ya.

lol....I just got this image in my head.... some young punk's girlfriend, giving him the two activities you describe, and him heading home to his buddies to bitch.... "that prude wouldn't even have sex with me." LOL.

lol... yeah things sure changed from the old days where first base involved touching a boob, not a hummer.

Certainly a lapse of foresight on the young girls part.

I wonder, has anyone here ever had anything stolen from them? I once had a video camera stolen from my house and another time I had a bag of microphones, cables and miscellaneous items stolen from my car. The feeling of frustration and violation is far worse than if someone had punched me in the head. They were items I purchased with my hard earned money. But some punk felt it was ok to relieve me of my personal property.

Perhaps the young lass may feel frightened right now but a little scare might be what she needs to drive home the point that stealing is not acceptable, whether in China or Canada. Respect for others is becoming less important everyday. And yes it starts with the small stuff.
Thanks, mt_pockets, at least and finally someone who feels somewhat like I do.

My computer went down this afternoon and I had time to talk on the phone. This person, whom I told about our China discussion, agreed with me wholeheartedly. She mentioned an interesting word...Entitlement. She said, the attitude of entitlement is so prevalent these days, and not the least among teenagers. I have to agree.

But that is exactly what I'm suggesting... bring her down a couple of notches by making her apologize and make reparations through free labour. Look on the bright side, Sal, what an exiting story she will have to tell later to her kids and grandkids, with the moral ending, "don't do what I did, or you end up as I did!!!"8O:lol::lol:
I think that the depth of her stupidity has been more than driven home to her. She gets it. She was stupid. I think she has likely experienced more fear over this than any fifteen year old would, had they committed the same crime on Canadian soil. It's over let it go.

I don't even have any!!:p
Tch, you fibbed, off with your head...lol.

What was the point in bringing attention to this anyways?
On our side possibly protection for the kid. China could hardly handle her like one of their own especially with the world watching.

They are desparately attempting to come into the 21st century and interact with the rest of the world. And they are doing well. Their middle class is growing daily and the money is beginning to flow along with their economy and world acceptance. This will look good for them. There was a time, I doubt they would have cared how they presented.

Wow China, a shoplifter in Hong Kong who happens to be a Canadian teen, what is the world coming to.
So what do you think is a just punishment China? Firing squad, lethal injection?

I guess

I hear there is an opening for artistic director to the 2008 Beijing Olympics -- that could serve as punishment. (with Steven Spielberg having resigned)
