Kim Jong Un walks across border to meet South Korean president, the first time a North Korean leader has visited the South

South Korean President Moon Jae-in welcomes Kim Jong Un to a summit that Moon hopes will lay the groundwork for a meeting between the North Korean leader and President Trump and that will remove the cloud of another war from the peninsula.

The summit represents an astounding turn of events after 2017 was marked by major advances in North Koreas nuclear and missile programs, sparking a war of words between Kim and Trump that many feared might turn into actual military action. But Trumps maximum pressure policy of tough sanctions and tougher words, combined with Kims heightened nuclear-powered swagger, has created an environment for talks in which the United States and North Korea each think they have the upper hand.

WAtched this on CNN.........and quite an effective moment.......with plenty of positive optics. They plan to plant a tree using soil and water from both Koreas. Since symbolism and metaphors are imperative to their cultruws this too is a "moment.

Cautiously hopeful..

Wait until Trump is told face-to-face by Comrade Kim that North Korea demands the immediate and unconditional surrender of the United States of America.

I think everyone here is missing the real shift, South Korea escaping American occupation. The Americans will do everything they can to spoil this bid for reunification. Many nations will ditch the american dollar and american rule. The new gold standard will just about do it for the dollar, the fleets can,t help uncle sham much longer and certainly wont during open hostilities.

Otto Warmbiers parents sue North Korea for having brutally tortured and murdered him. The timing could have big implications.

The extraordinary lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, details in blunt language how the University of Virginia student, a former homecoming king and soccer standout from Cincinnati, was brutally abused after being detained on a tour in Pyongyang. He arrived home in a coma after being released last June, dying days later.

The action aims to hold Kim Jong Uns regime legally accountable for their sons death, but the timing also raises significant geopolitical implications, coming weeks before an expected meeting between President Trump and the North Korean leader in late May or early June. It also comes a day before a high-stakes inter-Korea summit between Kim and South Korean President Moon Jae-in.

Chris Cuomo on CNN this morning gave the credit to Trump for the peace talks and said Trump would be a shoe in for the Nobel peace prize if a peace agreement is made :)

Fredo finally is admitting Trump knows what he is doing. CNN may be realizing they’re constant use of fake news is getting them nowhere.

CNN’s Chris Cuomo Thinks Trump Could Win The Nobel Peace Prize For North Korea Efforts

Chris Cuomo, host of CNN’s “New Day,” thinks President Donald Trump may receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to broker peace between North and South Korea, and said he may deserve the award more than former President Barack Obama.
“Politics. We have to deal with the policy, obviously,” Cuomo said Friday. “There are so many what IFS and conditions and all that. But if you take it at its best possible result — President Obama got a Nobel peace award for a lot less than bringing actual peace, instead of armistice to the Korean peninsula.”
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in released a joint statement Friday promising “a new era of peace” in Korea. The announcement is seen as unprecedented, as Trump’s predecessors made little progress in dealing with the rogue nation.

Trump just now in a news conference with Merkle credited Xi of China with his great effort to get the peace deal done. Trump is humble as well :)

The second one will get it for actually doing something and not just for being half-black.

The Nobel Peace Prize ceased to have any thing to do with peace finally with it,s awarding to that trans human freak and giving it to Trump can,t cheapen it any further. Trump actually does nothing, he would be excused if he did something he,s a posturing azzhole and nothing else. And you,re a little teenage girl with a fixation on a cartoon character.
