How about the gubmint stop telling business people who or how many people they're required to hire?

As long as they are hiring citizens or landed immigrants I don't care. If they plan on bringing over a few thousand Chinese on work visas they can f*ck off!

And my pity.

Spoken like a true socialist

Regina ain't Shanghai f*cknuts. If there was 0% unemployment in the region then sure bring in imports but until we get to that magical number if you wish to benefit from the Canadian economy you are hiring Canadians.

Not likely. He's a go-getter.
By that you mean he goes and gets you a beer from the fridge whenever you need one?

Wow! They can do that?!
You wouldn't believe the power our politicians have. I remember years ago when the paramedics were on strike in Toronto. The mayor of Toronto at the time, Mel Lastman stated that, "For every day they were on strike, 4-5 Torontonians would die." And I remember thinking to myself, "Holy shit, can he actually do that?

If Canada can't deport him abroad, maybe it could at least deport him to one of Canada's special economic zones for inadmissible stateless persons?
I suggest one of the uninhabited islands in Hudson Bay.

Hmmm... declaring Hudson Bay Islands a free economic zone might spur some economic activity; but given the lack of any major maritime port there, I doubt that the economic benefit would be significant. Better than nothing I suppose.

Welcome to the world of inland ports.

That's what I am saying. I cannot believe they can do that.

On the other hand, having a law that says you must have X amount of Canadians to every X amount of foreign workers would never float in the US.
