A place that advertises itself as a chicken selling place has absolutely no business selling poutine and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Anyone buying poutine should double check that the vender has all the necessary credentials required for such complicated recipes.

When I think of poutine, I think of poutine rapee, not those partly-cooked-french-fries-with-cheese-and-gravy.
'Splain yourself. What the heck is poutine rapee?
Could someone explain why the poutine at KFC is frozen? WTF! Is it that difficult to cook them and the put them together.? And why would anybody eat frozen poutine? Now that the colonel's secret recipe for poutine is out of the bag, I hope people stop eating that crap.

Its a fast food place... is anything fresh?. The buns are plastic, the eggs are powder, the coke is a watered sludge, why would the poutine be fresh?.

This is one we came up with this winter trying to use up leftovers... lol...

Poutine Noel

One bag oven fries
Left over Christmas turkey
Left over Christmas stuffing
Left over Christmas gravy
Dried cranberries
thin slices of brie cheese

And yes.... when cooking in my house, I find it very difficult to not use heat, so, beware anyone who might have an accident in my kitchen, it could result in injury. This food is hot! Also, I'd like to warn... I have yet to find a way to make dull knives cut, so, there are sharp implements around as well as the nefarious heat.

I'm afraid I like the good old, artery hardening, traditional, Poutine. I rarely put my face in it..

Kendell Lakin, 15, of Acton, burned her face after having an epileptic seizure at KFC and falling into her poutine. (Photo courtesy of the Lakin family) This doesn’t sound finger lickin’ good.
An Acton teen was left with second-degree burns Saturday after having an epileptic seizure inside a KFC outlet and landing face-down in her piping-hot poutine.
Her irate father told the Sun Monday he’s not after a multi-million dollar lawsuit, he just wants to speak out to warn others and perhaps get the Colonel to turn the temperature down on the cheese and gravy.
Lee Lakin said he even accepts some responsibility for the incident because he let his daughter Kendell, 15, go to fast-food outlet alone on Saturday.
“I’m not looking for $10 million,” Lakin said. “I’m looking for someone to stand up and say, ‘We’re sorry Mr. Lakin, we’re sorry Kendell. We want to make this right and hey everybody this food is hot.’”

Food that was hot? Well, no way! It can't be so!
So I suppose restaurants will be made to post warnings that the food they serve may be hot. WTF is the matter with people these days? Potatoes when they are deep fried, should be deep fried in hot oil, not lukewarm oil (between 350 and 400 Fahrenheit is the usual).

I suppose people will need warnings for wetness during rainstorms, coldness during winter, etc. next. Idiots.

Epilepsy is definitely not pleasant but it can be handled. A friend up the street has it and has only had one episode in the past 10 years.

I'd like to try onion rings with cheese and gravy sometime. :)

SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN- I make excellent French fries just put them on a pan lightly oiled with Olive Oil in the oven at 400F for 20 minutes.

Who cares how you cook them? They're still hot right?
BTW, yours are roasted not deep-fried. If you want deep-fried potatoes, you have to deep fry them. lol

You're right of course, but why would a person who is frying his arteries worry about frying his face?

IDK, but people also use olive oil in deep friers, you know. The potato piece forms a hard, crusty skin immediately after contact with hot enough oil so the chip is not saturated with oil. I am not sure being slowly cooked with olive oil would do that so you are probably ingesting more oil.
Besides, one would only be a fool if they lived on fried foods instead of having fried foods occasionally.

Well Tim's had to put a 'hot' warning on their coffee cups...

Any worse than envelopes that have "place stamp here" in the top right corners? Who pays these idiots to do these things? More profound idiots???????

Even though it was probably not overly difficult for you to make(since you were no doubt tired after all of the Christmas activities going on!), it sure sounds delicious! YUM!!!!

I'm hungry now!

arghhh

Mmmmmmmm.

You are an excellent cook, Karrie.

We use a deep fryer but only outside. My wife won't allow it in the house. Says it gets oil all over the kitchen and she's right. We have a stand for the deep fryer at the end of our deck. When the weather is dry we can make fish and chips all year round.

If you kept it in the house, wouldn't the smell saturate the kitchen(not to mention the rest of the ground floor)?:-?
