Nugent consigend himself to wingnut land years ago. Starting taking hus own schtick too seriously. Before I knew about his politics I read an interview with him in a guitar magazine where he called Jimmy Page the worst famous guitar player. I rememebr thinking that Page had more classic riffs one a B-side of any Zep album that Nugent had in his career. Though I love teh Cat Scratch Fever riff.

Mind you, if I like a guy's music, I don't really care about his politics. ove Merle Haggard and Peter Gabriel and theya re pretty much opposite ends of the spectrum, I'd imagine.

I like all kinds of music rock, pop, metal, country, blues, and jazz and most everything else.
Ted I never did like I have an album of his though, cause an ex DJ needs to have at least
one of almost everything. He is also self informed the facts have nothing to do with it, just
his opinion. An informed opinion is just an opinion, being charitable, a self informed opinion
comes from Disneyland at best.

I had never heard of him (I guess he must have been popular when I was busy raising 3 stair step kids) didn't have a clue until I saw him on one of Anthony Bourdain's shows, my only thought then was he was some sort of crazy person. Nothing has changed my mind since.

Thanks for proving my point. You and Nuge need to learn another song. That one is getting kind of boring.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion. The real question is why does anybody care what Ted thinks about politics?

Celebrity culture. Its been that way for awhile. When famous people agree with regular people then they are more likely to be brought up in discussions or debates on current affairs. It doesnt improve the person's argument at all but thats the way they do it.

Personally I never cared for this guys music. I find interviews of him to be far more entertaining than any music he has ever made.

Just proving my point about artists and reality.

Damn he made good music though................

He did. I dont particularly care what a person's politics or personal lives are like. The fact that "Cat Stevens" (or Yusuf Islam) was for the murder of Salman Rushdie doesnt make his music any less good for me. Same with actors.

Nugent; Obama should ‘suck on my machine gun.’ Now he wants to tone down the ‘hateful rhetoric’

More recently his past comments about Obama and Hillary Clinton (“Obama & Clinton, that's who. They should be tried for treason & hung.") were invoked as what some saw as the right's hypocritical outrage over images of Kathy Griffin holding a mask of a bloody, severed head in the likeness of President Trump.

Nugent's change of heart comes as some Republicans and Democrats have also called for more civil political discourse. (Meanwhile, the Internet's pro-Trump personalities blamed the attack on liberals and the media).

For Nugent, this isn't the first time he has talked about his language.

In 2014, he apologized for calling President Obama a “subhuman mongrel” after a backlash that included criticism from Republican senators Ted Cruz and Rand Paul.

“I apologize for using the street-fighter terminology of ‘subhuman mongrel’ instead of just using more understandable language, such as ‘violator of his oath to the Constitution,’ ‘the liar that he is.’ ”

Apologizing as opposed to that other fella who was shooting.
;)
well now, that's a fair comparison

say didn't obomba murder well over 2000 innocents in pakistan?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civilian_casualties_from_U.S._drone_strikes

Last Year President Obama Reportedly Told His Aides That He's 'Really Good At Killing People'
http://www.businessinsider.com/obama-said-hes-really-good-at-killing-people-2013-11

and you are comparing that to a loudmouth guitar player?

Obomba kills people, Nugent shoots deer (as allowed by law).
Can't tell the difference? hint (pro tip: it's like woman's rights means wearing burkas)
That's why liebarrals are so effed up.
:)
wow
silly has a new definition.

I have seen both Zep (4 people, all stars) and the nuge ( one guy really), and while I love them both:
Ted, as a performer, was the better show, and not so many rip offs as jimmy did.
