i have a question:

I hate the government parties alot, but i hate the NDP the most - sorry lonewolf and sudbury :)

During the next election can i hand in a blank ballot? How will it be counted? Undecided i hope

The best way is to place your "X" beside every name expect the N.D.P. candidate- that should give them the picture- especially if there is a Rhinocerus on the ballot.

Free Trade and recession led Ontario into financial disaster. The unions didn't like his Social Contract and the people didn't like that he reneged on provincial auto insurance - both of which were necessary due to the economic conditions. He crossed no floor. Rae wasn't in the house when he went back into federal politics.

Do you think I'm stupid? I know Rae didn't cross the floor in the physical sense, but he certainly did in the philosophical sense, which is nowhere near as bad as Emerson and Stronich, but still it shows that he'll run where ever he can benefit the most. I used to be staunch N.D.P. now I'm none of the bastards.

Does it matter if you're stupid? Rea sided with Peterson's Liberals and only really got his majority because some Liberal kingpins resigned.

Talk might be cheap but actions have led the Liberals forward. I do not have a liking for Ignatieff but he has certainly brought the Liberal fortunes up much faster then anyone would have given him credit for. Say what you will but many of his doings were actions and not just "words".. In my opinion he has acted in what he said he would. If you are all waiting for his "next election party platform" you will see that only at the election.. Till then you will see only clips of the party as he releases what people expect.. This is what we call politics..

Well, credit to Ignatieff for pushing forward the "one member, one vote" initiative to elect the next party leader.......

And I like his focus on education. Although that focus needs to be primarily on those with superior ability.......

But, the party supports a "green tax"......not good.

As well, I have just discovered that Ignatieff's Chief of Staff is Paul Zed, previously Liberal MP for Saint John and before tha Fundy-Royal.

OMG!!!!! Paul Zed is a piece of garbage. Corrupt, he played serious games in the Liberal nomination process against a popular doctor in Saint John before the last election.....the procedure had to be done twice.

An elitist idiot, I could tell you a couple of tales about his contact with local Peasants......that don't reflect well on him at all........

In Fundy Royal, he actually managed to come in THIRD in one election, after the PCs and REFORM!!!!!!, in NB no less.

Mainly because of the twists, turns, contortions, bribery, and flat-out lying he did over the Gun Control issue.

The man is worse than useless, and my estimation of Ignatieff has taken a BIG hit, simply by association with this guy.

As much as I think Iggy is a condescending snob, I like his idea that Harpy should never have cut funding for science and R&D. Iggy isn't stupid by any means. Harpy, on the other hand, isn't the sharpest tack on the board.

Well, I agree R&D should not have been cut......I can think of a huge amount of cuts that would happen before R&D, were it my choice.

But I think you'll find that Harper is nobody's fool........although sometimes he seems to be trying to pretend to have no brain........like asking the G-G to prorogue Parliament instead of going eye-to-eye with the Coalition......

Ontario is still trying to recover from the mess Rae made...

What is going to hurt Iggy is the number of years he spent in the States. He is too close to Obama.

That and while his party certainly has more confidence in him then they did in Dion, they still don't appear all that confident. 8O

Yeah, if old Chretien would have been good looking, he'd still be Prime minister.:lol:
Apparently that facial tic was caused by being kicked in the face when he was a kid- his story anyway. You have to admire the man, tough old bugger.
I don't think that is right JLM. As far as I know, Jean Chretien had Bell's Palsy. Something none of you want to ever get. My Mom had it also. Fortunately, all she got was an eyelid that was slightly droopy. Not enough for anyone to notice. When I worked in the chiro office, a young fellow came in with his spouse. While he was waiting he broke into tears. The reception area was empty and he told me that he had Bell's Palsy and he was very afraid that he would end up looking like Jean Chretien. I told him about my Mom and it seemed to settle him a little. He came in awhile later and told me that it was gone and he had no residual effects. An extremely happy man. (I just googled J.Chretien. He did have Bell's Pasly as a kid). My Mom was not a kid so you can get it at any age.

Thanks I.P. you learn something new every day, so that puts the old myth (I heard) to sleep that he got kicked in the mouth by a horse.
