Stop being so cynical Nugg!!!

I can't help it, Bear. Now bugger off or I'll call you a name and get another warning, or banned even. Fook, I couldn't "bear" that.

:tard:

;-)She is a good singer, but not much range in her voice. If she had had some voice training when she was young, she would be great. Good nonetheless. Reminds me of Kate Smith without the tits, and half an octave lower. As soon as my eyebrows grow bushy enough, I"m goin over there and show them how it's done.

Half expected her to break into a rousing rendition of "Rule Britannia".................

How's that for cynical ?

It's still on but it is on in Britian. You have to follow it on the net or you can watch the American version. I prefer the UK version. Go to Youtube and search "Britains Got Talent"

cannuck,

Did you watch the clip of Connie Talbot I posted on post #20 of this thread? It is the studio version of the song she sang on her final appearance on Britain's got Talent.

Susan Boyle didn't win. She was beaten in the final by a dance group. I saw her performance in the final and I thought it was spectacular. I was disappointed for her but I don't think all is lost. Her first performance attracted something like 60 or 70 million hits on You-tube. I would say that in a few months we will be able to buy her songs on DVD. I hope this little tv telent show has given her all the boost she needs.

The day after the show Susan went into The Priory to "rest" - not surprising considering all the hype, constant pressure she was put under by the Paps and negative publicity which followed her since she was first on the show. Earlier this week, she left the clinic and is hoping to join the Britain's Got Talent "Tour" around the UK - some say she isn't ready just yet and I think they may be right - she just about managed to sing in the final (not one of her best performances). Diversity, the dance troupe won deservedly and the lead dancer is the most talented choreographer I've seen in a long while.

I hope Susan Boyle has a long and steady career ahead of her and look forward to buying her songs on DVD.

The latest insult is that some nitwit wanted to do a movie of Susan Boyle with Robin Williams playing Susan. The story was on the Globe and Mail earier. It seems to be gone now though you can still find it using Google.

I would guess that her first album is going to break many records and probably make her a millionaire. I will certainly be one of those cheering.

When she got word that her first album was likely to sell a million or more copies, she went to one of the most expensive stores in London (Harrods)and bought a couple of dresses. Maybe she finally believes she's made it.

I listened to this and thought it had to be Barbara Streisand singing it. I listened to Streisand singing it on YouTube. She isn't nearly as good as Susan Boyle is!!

Streisand obviously thinks she can stand there and do anything and she expects an applause and a standing ovation. Doing this number she was a joke.

I went out and bought Susan's first album today. It is apparently selling light hotcakes. It is breaking all sales records in Europe and on this continent. I've listened to all twelve songs and I have no doubt that first album will make her a lot of money. Good for her.

Thanks for this post Juan and for reminding me about Susan Boyle. I hope I get the time to buy her CD before Christmas. So much to do and so little time. No sign of snow yet and still clear cold skies. I hope it passes over.
Did you ever get your HlN1 shot? My whole family has now had them (all who live here anyway). My doctor says that the next bad wave was to hit in March but now they are saying January. I hope it never comes at all.

Yes I got the H1N1 shot yesterday after procrastinating for about a month. On Tuesday I will get the ordinary flu shot in the other arm and that will be about all I can do about the flu...which ever kind. I just have to stay away from those passing the infection for another 10 days or so.....;-)
