Does the NWT or Nunavut have a Nuclear Power plant up there?? If not, why not?

I mean Harper has been beating his chest about protecting the Canadian north.. surprised power and infrastructure wouldn't be on the top of the list.

One factor no one has mentioned yet-teaching the Inuit to eat vegetables.

My own experience with northern visitors here in southern BC is that older ones want raw meat/fish and younger ones want junk food and little else-the sight of a green salad leaves them cold-it's something foreign to them and certainly nothing they would seek out on their own.

Only two problems that I see,
Will these greenhouses stand up to the harsh Arctic winters?
How long will the residents hold an interest in being farmers?

The Colorado-based Growing Spaces says their domes are perfect for harsh climates because they can withstand 200 km/h winds and 250 centimetres of snow.

Nice claim. I suppose you believe it too. Blades on cats brake up there in winter.

It took 3 seconds to get what you were looking for, what a powerful researcher you turned out to be, . . not. lol

The dome shape is immensely strong and wind friendly. The Growing Dome greenhouse has withstood over 130 mph winds and over 8 ft of snow in a single storm.

42 FT Greenhouse Kits, Solar Greenhouse Kits, Year Round Greenhouses

Let me guess, it will be named 'The Big Igloo' scrap the current houses and put some furniture in and some cheap hat and growing and housing solved in one swoop.

250cm = 8 ft 2 27/64 inch, . . . close enough for me. lol
