DurkaDurka, just wanted to thank you for the camera recommendations. I took a couple of photos today, and they are soooooooo much better. I missed the hawks ... but I'll catch them tomorrow or the next day. Once again, I have clear, crisp photos. They're still a little under-exposed, but that could be the setting on the day/cloudy etc. I'll check that again.

Thanks again!

Durka , this is why I think you are a genius..... your pictures , with very little effect tell a story.
For someone that has picked this up not that long ago , you are a natural ;)

With exception of two pictures on the front page , they are all hdr .

My subject range seem very limited .

I disagree with you on this. Those shots are quite breathtaking.

Very nice. :)

You have some great shots in there, El Barto. I love the open sky and the tones and colours you captured in many of them. I would be shooting similar subjects if I wasn't in the city 99% of the time.

Haven't had another lucky shot with the hawks, so tried out the settings on ...

I have AV on the lens and the camera ... but I can change the centre of focus on the camera, so maybe I have that set to a corner rather than centre.

Great chalk art!

Hey Durka, have you ever heard of Keesic Douglas?

He was a guest artist at Kooter's Native arts and studies camp.

He worked with the kids on video projects.

Kooter's was titled "FBIS", "Frickin big Indian syndrome", lol.

If I post it on YouTube, I'll send you a link.
