...because the virtuous truth drips from their blood. I wish the same could be said for their loyalty.

It's like a teenager declaring they have unfit parents, yet they still shop out of Mom and Dad's fridge and sleep in their old bedrooms.

I get it. So they are moral, ethical and by-the-book but as long as there's a nice payout at the end of the road they'll look the other way and stay in the Party.

A little perspective might help here...

Trudeau: "You have options as to how to settle this Lavalin affair."

Raybould: "I understand that."

Trudeau: "But the final decision is still yours."

Raybould: "Okee-dokee"

The Media...

It's the Canadian crime of the Century!!!

Just spoke with my 82 year old Liberal father about Raybould. My Dad's quote was...

"You don't send the baby to buy the beer"

lol! Dad is the king of one-liners. I thought that was brilliant! :)

An alternative to what my old man used to say...…………."Don't send a boy on a man's job" Not sure it applies appropriately to Jody Wilson - Raybould.

I may very well be missing something but I too wonder why after openly claiming a lack of confidence in the leader of your party either of them would should choose to stay in the party. It certainly can't make for a comfortable atmosphere when the rest of your colleagues are expressing their faith and you aren't.

Their problem is with the leader and those who support him. They may well support the party platform as well as a couple of hundred back benchers.

Well, maybe dad ain't do brilliant, after all. The Attorney General does not work for the Prime Minister or the Liberal Party. They are their own little kingdom. The Prime Minister has no business directing the Attorney General to buy beer or any other chore.

Your dad doesn't get how the government is supposed to work.

As long as 'Baby' is over 18 he is better choice than sending 'Grampa'.

Everybody scattered to the 4 winds. lol. How much will Ottawa spend to bail out the 'out of work employees' when all the good ones will be snapped up by the companies that the World Bank still favors and they will be off to some other country.

The longer this goes on, the more I see Raybould as a gal out of her league...over her head with no understanding of how big business gets done. I've actually pretty much been saying this from the beginning if you look back on my posts.

But she's a woman, and Native so she will never face the scrutiny the other men in this affair are facing.

She's not about big business, she's about upholding and enforcing the law - a very divergent path from big business.

Liberals floundering around changing talking points and contradicting each other on a daily basis well Ms Raybould has remained silent since testifying . You’re preception is different then mine .

No. It's all about HER...with no regards for her Party, her Leader or colleagues. I'm Jody Wilson-Raybould and I'm going to take down the Liberal Party and everyone in it.

WRONG- It was all about she upholding and enforcing the law and abiding by her job description. This is one of the those portfolios that isn't open to too much discussion or compromising.

Re. Rayboult & Philpott wishing to remain in the party while expressing lack of confidence in the leader: There is no conflict except between the opinions of others, which are irrelevant. What the two of them want to do is what the two of them want to do. Whether they are allowed to remain in the party is for others to decide but those others including the PM may consider the party's standing less damaged by keeping than by ejecting them.

Playing the racist/gender cards here, in impugning their integrity, is malicious. It may say more about the accuser than the accused.

As for government being "about big business" I believe this popular view is at the heart of much that's wrong with our politics and our country.

An aspect of the whole SNC-L affair that I haven't seen raised is: Who most stands to gain, or more likely lose, by fluctuations in the company's share prices?

But he does seem to have a grip on how it does work.

It is all about votes in Quebec. As always.
