Re. Rayboult & Philpott wishing to remain in the party while expressing lack of confidence in the leader: There is no conflict except between the opinions of others, which are irrelevant. What the two of them want to do is what the two of them want to do. Whether they are allowed to remain in the party is for others to decide but those others including the PM may consider the party's standing less damaged by keeping than by ejecting them.
Playing the racist/gender cards here, in impugning their integrity, is malicious. It may say more about the accuser than the accused.
As for government being "about big business" I believe this popular view is at the heart of much that's wrong with our politics and our country.
An aspect of the whole SNC-L affair that I haven't seen raised is: Who most stands to gain, or more likely lose, by fluctuations in the company's share prices?
