Well...nothing actually, nor do I intend on falling for any of the crap thats been bombarded towards the gullible masses in this pathetic culture.

And I swear if I hear another commercial with John Lennon`s `So This Is Christmas` blaring with images of snotty nosed pygmys in Africa (living as they have for thousands of years) with that British lady pleading "if you ever thought of donating, NOW during this holiday season, is the time...." I`m gonna put my boot through the television screen.

Aahh...that felt good.

The pictures of snotty nosed Africans starving to death don't offend me. John Lennon does. Always did. So does/did Bob Dylan, but that's neither here nor there.

Fortunately, some folks are doing something bout the starving Africans. Not so much about the starving Canadians.

What really offends me is seeing the dictator of said (name any one) African country pile his fat ass into the waiting limo, and get whisked away to his mansion.

Unfortunately, not much change happening there.

Or wait till Dec 26th sharp when apparently all those starving snotty nosed kids in Africa mysteriously no longer need us do-gooders donations...except for Sunday mornings. lol

Then like clockwork (commencing a few weeks before and leading up to x-mass) they suddenly `need our donations especially during the holiday season` every goddam hour of the day.

geeze!!

heheh - well you definitely have a persona.

Anyway, sometimes we need better death stats/mortality rates, resource consumption analysis, infrastructural assessments and the like to really convince people to donate.

Not really, mentalfloss. Since 1993 I have given my time and money, to the best of my ability, to Habitat for Humanity, without asking for statistics, resource consumption analysis, mortality rates or infrastructural assessments and the like, just because I thought that it was the RIGHT thing to do.

"heheh - well you definitely have a persona.

Well, you either have it or you don't. Being envious about it does not buy you one.

Then there this annoying little ditty from another Beatle.

Paul McCartney Song Named Most Hated Christmas Tune

Which is why a tune by Paul McCartney has been named the worst Christmas song of all time for the second straight year.

Critics note "Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time" is abysmal for lots of reasons - the keyboards, the vocals and the repetitive nature of the tune itself, which gets played and played and played endlessly at this time of year, mostly because it was made by a former Beatle.

And that's enough to have the 1979 song declared the worst Yule tune of all time by the website Retrocrush. Those sitting in judgment note, "Anyone who has ever had to suffer through this .. should at least get a fat check from Sir Paul as a Christmas gift."

Oddly, The McCartney tune came in tied for first place in a similar survey conducted last year at this time. The co-winner? "Feliz Navidad" by Jose Feliciano.

What's in second place in the new survey? A song that has many cringing even more than the McCartney tune called "Christmas Shoes". This seasonal classic - or not so classic - by NewSong tells the story of a dying mother and a small boy trying to buy shoes for her during the holiday season.

It actually spawned a movie and is expected to set clenched teeth on edge for Christmases to come.

For those of you who agree with the list, take heart - there's only a week left before all those songs are put aside for another year.

Nahh...not `bitter`. Just a knack for spotting the overwhelming examples of of greed and hypocrisy this season brings out amongst us.

For example the local media`s annual attempt at `giving a kid a x-mass` this year by begging for donations of cheap, un-wrapped toys, stepped-up food drives...mostly consisting of canned `food`, shyt they wouldn`t feed thier pets. Sob stories about accident, fire and shooting victims meeting thier maker being "especially tragic" because it happened `so close to the holidays/x-mass`. Then a following segment aimed at the well-to-do going on about the latest over-priced gadgets one MUST buy for the already spoiled little brats in the family and interviewing a chef in studio cooking up gobs of rich n tasty grub the likes most viewers eat once a month when thier monthly gov. checks arrives.

Give me a ****ing break.
