Then this must have been a very difficult & troubling change to make.
I would say so.

Gh would be the one and only pacifist that I have met that was sincere and honest in his beliefs, consistently.

His change of heart is troubling indeed. His opposing position has always been a respectable one, an honest one.

I know that, and I was not throwing an insult or such in any way. Did it appear I was?

I do not mean to speak for Gerry.

I am sure, and I hope, he will correct me if I am wrong.

But, taking into consideration Gerry's previous unwillingness to see the nation-state defend its interests army vs army..........I suspect Gerry believes he has come upon a true evil, in which the combatants are volunteers for evil, and which intends to try and destroy all that is good in the world.

And I agree with him.

I think we might disagree on how much ISIS is Islam, and Islam is ISIS, but I think we do agree that ISIS has to be eradicated. And I do mean eradicated.

Just like Conservative Senator Brazeau losing to Justin in the charity boxing match, Harper will go down for the count against Justin's LPOC in 2015 according to the Nanos poll

Close enough at this time.

Raped, tortured, forced to watch beheadings, then beaten when they tried to kill themselves: Yazidi girls reveal the hell they endured during ISIS captivity

  • Two teenage Yazidi girls have described the horror of being capture by Isis
  • Aged just 15 and 19, they saw men from their community mercilessly killed
  • Both were taken away to be sold on to men in the Iraqi city of Mosul
  • Hundreds of other Yazidi females suffered a similarly traumatic fate
  • The girls said some considered suicide rather than enduring their ordeal

So LIBERALS, what about the "Responsibility to Protect"?

Instead, the people of Iraq get THIS drooling idiot!!

Althia Raj @althiaraj Follow Why aren't we talking about refugees or humanitarian aid, Trudeau says rather than wanting to"whip out our CF-18 & showing how big they are"

Eradicate ISIS. Air support. Supplies and advisors to the KURDS (not the "Free Syrian Army" or the Iraqi Army, if you send those people arms, might as well cut out the middle man and send the stuff directly to ISIS) Boots on the ground. ASAP.

Well, we know now.

The Liberal Party of Canada prefers that this nation be the perpetual self-righteous Nanny-state, constantly spewing idealistic nonsense and demanding action.....from everyone else.

God these people make me ill.

Most of the world doesn't accept the Responsibility to Protect Doctrine.

Americans won't do what is necessary to win a war unless its fought on American soil. If the people of a country won't do what is necessary to win and be willing to stay the course they should avoid war. It's unethical to send men and women to fight a war unless victory is the objective.

So we are all agreed. Now: what are we going to do about it? As of today we know. The Conservative government will send six fighter jets, two surveillance craft and a refuelling plane, to supplement the 69 special forces personnel it has already committed, whose operations will be restricted to those countries that have expressly permitted them to enter, namely Iraq, and whose mission will be limited to six months. That is as much as the government dares. It is probably as much as we are capable of.

And the NDP? And the Liberals? Nothing. Or to be more precise, nothing. No, I’m sorry, it’s true. Humanitarian aid, refugee tents, blankets, even the NDP leader’s call to help “the people of Iraq and Syria to build the political, institutional and security capabilities they need to oppose these threats themselves” — these are all perfectly lovely things. They will no doubt prove helpful in addressing other problems, or in the long run. But they are of no use whatever in addressing the immediate objective, which is to stop the spread of ISIS, and the slaughter that inevitably follows.
